Congrats buddy..... You can land anywhere in Canada except for Quebec. Good luck for the future.

You got to be careful with this advice. Changing your landing intention to a different place could be construed as misrepresentation in your Application for Permanent Residence.

Also, if you applied through FSW, you cannot land in Quebec.

Remember, landing is different from arriving at a port of entry. You can arrive at any port of entry in Canada irrespective of which program you applied through.

There is no restriction for an FSW1 applicant to arrive or land or even settle in the same province that he mentioned in his/her application forms.

That sort of restriction applies to Provincial Nominees.

Experts please advice.

I am new to this forum and I urgently need your advice. I applied under FSW 2014, program. I have got Passport request however, we are expecting a baby next month.

What should I do?

Should I send our original passport for stamping NOW (before 30 days of Passport request) or do I need to send our original passport (mine, spouse and baby) LATER with the requested documents (adding a newborn docs)?

Appreciating your help!

Guys, just got a big surprise!

My doctor submitted my Medical Results on 25 February. 3rd line got updated on 1st of March 2015. And just a few minutes ago I got following email:

Dear Mr. Jaxon,

Your application has reached the final stage of processing. Please follow the instructions in the attached letter carefully. Your file number is indicated in the subject line of this email.

Unless your passport or the passport of one of your accompanying family members expires on an earlier date, your permanent resident visas will all expire on 25 February 2016.

Note: The attached letter is in Portable Document Format (.pdf). To view it, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. If the Adobe download site is not accessible to you, you can download Acrobat Reader from an accessible page. You can also visit the Adobe site for online conversion tools for PDF documents.

Guys i need your assistance.
i got my Passports with visa stamped. at the filling of application i filled Regina as my destination where as now i want to land in Vancouver.

is there any restriction or objection if i land in Vancouver instead of Regina.
hope to see replies from the seniors or friends who already landed.
Regards.

Not sure whether you are talking about "LANDING" or arriving at a "PORT OF ENTRY" There are several things:
1. When you arrive at a Port of Entry, you declare your place of landing. You intention should be to land at the same place as declared in your Application for Permanent Residence.

2. Declaring a different place of landing to the immigration officer at a Port of Entry that is different than your place of landing on the Application for Permanent Residence could be construed as misrepresentation on the Application.

3. If you apply through the FSW program you cannot land in Quebec, though you can arrive at a port of entry in Quebec (for example, Montreal, and complete your landing formalities there - you just have to declare that you will land in a place other than Quebec)

4. Once you become a PR (by completing the landing formalities at a Port of Entry), you can move to, reside or work in any place in Canada (including Quebec) as guaranteed by the Canadian constitution.

Hi All,

I got a mail from CIO saying that i got less points (66 - 1 point less for qualyfying).

Below is the reson for the same.

They have not considered my work experience where i have submitted self-declared affidavits for 2 companies but accepted experience where i have submitted proof on company letter pad.

Did this happen to anyone?
Do i get a refund of the amount paid?
Can i apply again in express entry? If so do i need to pay the amount again?

Please let me know if anyone is aware of such situation.

Thanks.

Ndvo plz give us mr ...... Plzzzzzzz

This is incorrect, or at the best is a grey area. You are conflating between arriving at a port of entry and Landing. Your place of landing is declared as evidenced in your Application for Permanent Residence, unless you have updated the Visa office that you are changing your place of landing BEFORE the issuance of visas.
After landing, you are a Permanent Resident of Canada as are subject to the rights and responsibilities of a Permanent Resident under Canadian law / constitution. Canadian constitution guarantees a freedom of movement in Canada.

Is this PPR or do I get a different request?

And I still don't see 4th line in ECAS, i.e. no Decision Made line. I guess it's normal, or is it?

According to content it doesn't look like PPR.

Email subject will be "Ready for VISA" in PPR email.

Email subject is just the file number and three digit officer code in brackets. However, I just read thru the attachment. In the attachment they've given instruction on how to submit our passports and details about visa validity. They have also asked for two new photos for each applicant and updated information chart.

What's typical PPR like?
