Hi Guys,

Need urgent Support.

I have received PPR on 05th March and submit the Passports to VFS Delhi in person on the same day.

Recently, my company applied for business visa for canada for some offical work in canada, I had given business visa for the same. Now, somehow suddenly my is company asking me to reach canada by this week Sunday i.e. 15th March to attend meeting on 16th.

Now, my passport is with Canada embassy for PR stamping, now i don't know what should i do in this case as i didn't disclose this PR thing in my company and this visit to canada is very important from my career point of view.

I just found out my wife has 1 month pregnant.

We have already received our passports for all my family (my wife and two kids) and residency confirmation.

but now, we have a new member coming...

any advice about what should i do???

do i have to notify the visa office about it?
what opinion do you have about health insurance for pregnancy?

No, I don't think so. Because your's would be a domestic savings account, hence though you have the funds they are not readily available.

A lot depends on how the immigration officer will perceive it. However best not to take chances.

Check with SBI if you can have a Currency account in CAD.
Such an account allows you to receive and move money in CAD.

Best would be to carry a combination of CAD Cash/Traveller's cheque /Cad bank account statement.

In one you your earlier post you mentioned can't open CAD account till you land why?
Check out the Start right program of Nova Scotia. Also HSBC has something similar for new immigrants, not sure of the name though.

Guys, just got a big surprise!

My doctor submitted my Medical Results on 25 February. 3rd line got updated on 1st of March 2015. And just a few minutes ago I got following email:

Dear Mr. Jaxon,

Your application has reached the final stage of processing. Please follow the instructions in the attached letter carefully. Your file number is indicated in the subject line of this email.

Unless your passport or the passport of one of your accompanying family members expires on an earlier date, your permanent resident visas will all expire on 25 February 2016.

For opening CAD account with a bank in INDIA ,you need proof of canada address . You cannot have this before reaching canada. The scotia bank has tied up with Kotak Bank for opening a CAD account for students as the scotia bank pays to universities out of this account.

I dont think you have to inform as you got the PPR and visa stamped the point in asking for any change by NDVO is that they can put it on hold and focus on other application which are straight forward.. so unless you are planning to have your kid born here in india.. cause if your kid is born in canada then its direct citizenship by birth.
if the kid is born in india .. then you have sponsor the kid and provide inform docs and POF again for the same.

Try walking in to NDVO with an letter explaining you Deliemma and requesting urgency.
I hope they accept it though that's not the norm.

I vaguely remember that some applicant went directly to Canadian Embassy with a letter stating that she has some urgent travel plans and would need her stamped passport at the earliest. She handed over the letter, waited for a while and then met her VO who gave her the stamped passport the same day.

She posted her experience in detail here in the forum. Though I have absolutely no recollection of her forum name.
