My visa to US was rejected abt 4 yrs back. I had no intention to hide my US visa rejection but as far as i remember there was no column in forms where we need to mention any rejection for visas.

I have two questions now:

1. How i should have informed them earlier.

2. How should i inform them now.

Please suggest.

I have a question, we live in Ireland but the passports were stamped at the NDVO. Can we leave for canada from Ireland or do we have to go via India? Also, can our jewellery go in the goods to follow as we don't have anything here in ireland, if yes then how much time do they give us to get the goods to canada and whats the procedure?

Any help is much appreciated. We r planning to land in July mid.

We had a lot of discussion before..Rejection in the usa visa, unless very serious threats, is not a reason which will reject ur PR.

1. You could have simply entered this information in the column in application.

2. I don't think so there is anything you should do at this point, because app deadline has already crossed. Emailing ur visa office or cic again i am not sure if it would be a good idea..

u can wait. chances are slim they will verify it. even if they do, unless its a serious reason i don't think so u need to worry abt it.

Keep fingers crossed and u will be good. any seniors who could correct me incase i am mistaken!!!

Hi Vinisha,
The VISA is stamped to enter Canada and does not mandate FROM WHERE you will.
Goods to follow are items that IS YET TO ARRIVE IN CANADA after you complete landing formalities. So, if your jewelry will arrive later on, yes you should include all items (with generic names) in the GOODS TO FOLLOW list that the immigration officer will ask you to. I do not know about the time limit so thats the question for the officer which can be consulted on during the landing formality is performed.

Depends from VO to VO, but looking at your timeline I don't think it will be long now.

I tried to update my data but I am not able to do so. I would request moderator/or someone who has the rights to please update it

I got PER on 2nd Dec 2014 (Actually I did not know it was PER because it was not mentioned in Subject or body of email. I thought it is just confirmation email that they hae received docs)
Then there was silence till last week. On 2nd March they asked me to send Police Certificates, Photocopies of passports, submit MR and pay Right of Permanent Residence Fee.

So, is it the next step after PER?

We are four people. I am the Principal applicant and my wife and two kids ( 5 and 8 years old ) included in application

Since there are two adults (I and my wife) , should I mention "No of Applications = 2" while paying Right of Permanent Residence Fee online.

Finally......Received MR, RPRF, PCC on 6th March. 8) My timeline is on the left.

My spouse had received a job verification call on 3rd March by SGVO on some clarification. Till then there had been no 2nd line update. The 2nd line was updated on 6th march..... we started processing.... on 3rd March.

Files are moving at SGVO.. patience is the key here.. and yes keep praying... the waiting will end soon.. we have waited for 7 long years

I would like to announce here that with grace of Almighty Allah i have received Passport Request from LVO.

3rd Line Still awaited. No 4th Line.

Diabetic people !! we are diabetic and take insulin regularly.. applied and reached up to PP stage so dont need to worry.

Any one needs help for more details PM me. I will share my medical experience in detail i am compiling it.

This forum was of great help and i will keep posting it.

Guys if we take knowledge from this forum we have to give it back.

Finally I received our passports with COPR and this ends our PR application journey. ** Drumrolls **

Thanks to all of you for being such a support. I say this truly, because it is all due to this thread it has been possible. It all started here only. I was very active earlier but from past few months replying here and there and actively in the Ottawa thread. My timelines on left, but here are few specifics to those interested -

In 2013, I wanted to apply but missed collecting all docs. So that year I completed my IELTS, collected experience letter from previous employers.
In Feb 2014, I went to India got my marksheets attested from University for WES assessment.
Till Apr 2014 second week, I didn't sent my marksheets for WES assessment - lazy bum I'm. Thought will get it done when time comes.
Apr 15 2014, I woke up with news that FSW will be underway by May 1, submitted WES assessment that day only.
Meanwhile, completed my application - got birth cert etc from embassy. Got spouse birth cert translated...what not to complete the app.
Experience letter from current employer - I wrote a crisp cover letter explaining why I've only got a generic letter from HR as it might jeopardize my existing employment scene, and for my duties, salary, I attached my payslips, work contract, H1B sponsorship package, my certifications etc.
May 22 2014 - My app was received by Ottawa and rest was processing till today (timelines on left). Getting FBI PCC took 3.5 months - those waiting apply ASAP.

PPR - Feb 13th 2015
Passport received by CPC-O - Feb 19th
Visa Issued - Feb 26th
Tracker Activated - Mar 6th
Passport received back - Mar 9th

So happy to complete this process for us. Hope you all complete your journey soon and get the most awaited email of PPR. We'll be landing sometime in September. Thanks again. :-* :-*

My dear friend. I am still waiting for MR and yes i am 30th Jul applicant

From what i have seen and again others may have different take on this. We can compare application date for processing times until PER stage. Once the file is transferred to Local VO, then there is no particular pattern seen or followed which makes it difficult to compare our timelines and check if we are lagging behind.

Please be positive, We have waited for so long and let's wait a little more for the good news.

PS : I stopped keeping track of no.of days for my application as it was making me anxious and restless. I will be happy whenever it comes
