HI All,

Canada gives visa for 1 year from the date of medical, what does it mean ? how come is it permanent residence then if its only for 1 year.

Do we need to return after one year ?

please guide

the single entry visa with one year validity from Medicals recd is called copr. (Confirmation of permanent residence). This is just a travel document meant to facilitate your entry into Canada. After completing landing formalities in Canada, you actually become a pr and then your permanent resident card is issued which you get within 3-6 weeks. This is valid for 5 years after which gets renewed if you meet pr necessary condition of 2 years of stay in Canada in the 5 year tenor.

Can some one help me on this please..........

My application reached CIO on 26 NOV 2014 but still I am not been charged. I have applied under NOC-2281(Computer Network Technician). Its more than 12 weeks now and I haven't got any response so far.

This is a second time I have sent my application as first I applied on 2 SEP 2014 and due to not enclosing photocopies of my academic docs together with my credential assessment report, the application was returned on NOV and same month I have re-sent with complete documents.

If anyone can tell me what is happening please ?

Someone answer please...............

Helo frnds..
I applied 2 times for USA F2 visa in 2012..bbut was rejected...v didnt mentioned it in our application as their was no rejection stamp in my passport...wat to do nw..will it create any problem...?

It certainly will. The question asked whether you have ever been rejected, it didn't say you only have to mention it if there is a stamp in your passport. Are rejections stamped into passports? I've never heard of that before. Didn't you get a letter or some communication informing you of the rejection?

Anyway, USA and Canada share almost all information especially regarding security and diplomacy. CIC will very likely learn of your rejection and will ask you why you did not answer yes on your form.

You can either wait for them to ask you, and then explain, or you can be proactive, raise a CSE and attach a new form and explain why you didn't answer correctly the first time.

If it is a case of genuine confusion and you thought no stamp in your passport meant it should not be reported, just say so. The VO usually overlooks honest mistakes, but nobody can guarantee you that it won't be a problem.

Hi People

Finally we have received the canadian PR visa...

They gave it to me in 3 working days (i attached a letter requesting them to hasten the process giving them a valid reason with a proof).

Now i have another question, we live in Ireland but the passports were stamped at the NDVO. Can we leave for canada from Ireland or do we have to go via India? Also, can our jewellery go in the goods to follow as e don't have anything here in ireland, if yes then how much time do they give us to get the goods to canada and whats the procedure?

Any help is much appreciated. We r planning to land in July mid.

Thanks in advance!

Vinisha

Congrats and +1 to you !!

Ok, now is the time to stay calm and not panic.
Use this time to draft a detailed response linking you JD to the NOC lead statement and the example roles.

Pointers
- You supervisory experience needs to be in Account's payable.
- Have a team, lead them, appraise them, roster them.
- Active QC for operations
- Work to requisition supplies and inventory management
- Perform TNI.
- Highlight if you are company trained on things such as Conflict resolution, SL2 etc.

Feel free to PM me for help.

I like your advice not to panic and you are in the same NOC so you are a good person to help. However let me caution the applicant not to use abbreviations like you have in your post, or at least to explain to the VO what they are. We should not assume the VO understands our fields and the language that goes along with them. They probably don't. It's always better to explain more and be more explicit so it is absolutely obvious to the VO that the duties match.

Just a little correction bro: :)

Single entry Visa: Its a stamp in your passport which allows you enter Canada only once. Validity is one year from Medical received at RMO. This is applicable only to those who are from Non-Visa exempt country.

COPR: It is a documents printed on legal size paper which is issued to all who are granted PR. 2 Copies are issued to you. Once with photo and another one without it. One without photo is clients copy(our copy), and one with photo is taken by CBSA officer at the time of landing(this copy is most probably application for PR card). Retain COPR even after you receive PR card as we have to provide it at the time of retirement to benefits. Check all the information is correct, if not advise CBSA officer and if you missed to do it submit amendment of COPR application.

WHAT STEP IS AFTER per....
is there any update on ECAS after per, what is that and after what time change will appear...
Seniors please advise.

If you just got PER your ECAS status should show 1 line, "We received your application for permanent residence on [date]."

Eventually you'll have a second line "We started processing your application on [date]."

In between you may receive an e-mail acknowledgement that your local VO has received your file from CIO, but not all VOs send this. You may not receive any further communication from them until MR.
