With my application date as 30/07/14, second line update on 21/02/15 and NO MR ; I AM GETTING DEJECTED.

Praying and waiting is becoming tiresome.

I am having same time line as far as Second line update is concerned.
We will have the good news in this week. As MR is due now. I think very few people have been left for MR before us. So we are the next in their list.

HI All,

Canada gives visa for 1 year from the date of medical, what does it mean ? how come is it permanent residence then if its only for 1 year.

Do we need to return after one year ?

When you arrive to the airport in canada ( landing) the immigration officer will ask you to give an address where you will receive your PR card ( waiting time up to 2 months). You will also be given a SIN at the airport ( a matter of 5 minutes)

Collected the passports from VFS (was delayed due to Holi-day on 6th ).

Hi People

Finally we have received the canadian PR visa...

They gave it to me in 3 working days (i attached a letter requesting them to hasten the process giving them a valid reason with a proof).

Now i have another question, we live in Ireland but the passports were stamped at the NDVO. Can we leave for canada from Ireland or do we have to go via India? Also, can our jewellery go in the goods to follow as e don't have anything here in ireland, if yes then how much time do they give us to get the goods to canada and whats the procedure?

Any help is much appreciated. We r planning to land in July mid.

My wife's X-Ray test is pending and rest all formalities are done (Hospital has sent medical to embassy and I have sent draft and documents).

Now when can I expect 3rd line on ECAS? In few days or after my wife;s medical is also completed?

You may not take this seriously but they do. Its a part of their Eligibility/Background check to verify truthfulness of information you submitted. If they found counterfoil then they may transfer your application to senior officer for review. GCMS notes show like this "Online search Conducted: No concerns found or Concerns found".

I think, Monday's & Tuesday's they are keeping for Visa issuance. As the flow of PPR has increased, I am sure, the Passport's being received also would be creating a pile.

Hello all need some help from you all ...

Myself and Mywife we both have submitted or MR few days back .

Friday we have received an email From CIC LON , asking an explanation for not mentioning about US visa rejection back in 2013 . I have applied for USA visa as a dependent from UK when my wife was doing her masters . But the VO at US embassy took about 2 mins reading my application and suggested to re apply after my wife was issued with H1 . WE never tought this was a rejection , as there was no rejection stamp or a Letter issued By US embassy. may be we misunderstood the visa process for USA . I want to explain the same . Can this result in rejection ? did anyone had similar experiences??

I think you should answer exactly that, fully explain what happened and why you didn't think it was a rejection. It seems like an honest, harmless mistake. Nobody can guarantee you that it will not affect your application, but I don't think it will.
