app sent from india
per date 20 nov 2014
till now I have not received any mail or correspondence regarding my file processing has started or not
only 1st line has been updated in online status check.
kindly advise what should I do?
if my application is rejected now do I get my application fee refunded

Your consultant is right. I submitted our passports at VFS on 5th Mar. The VFS rep asked me to write only applicant's name and DoB on backside of one photo each. She asked me to ignore the instruction given in passport request letter. I suggest you to not write anything as of now and do as instructed by VFS rep.

Hi,

I received Acknowledgement letter from Colombo VO. I choose NDVO as LVO. In the first PER mail they mentioned that my file is transferring to Dakar.

In the letter they mentioned reason is for fast processing.

No movement from NDVO today

When to expect PPR??

Hello Friends,

My application reached CIO on 26 NOV 2014 but still I am not been charged. I have applied under NOC-2281(Computer Network Technician). Its more than 12 weeks now and I haven't got any response so far.

This is a second time I have sent my application as first I applied on 2 SEP 2014 and due to not enclosing photocopies of my academic docs together with my credential assessment report, the application was returned on NOV and same month I have re-sent with complete documents.

If anyone can tell me what is happening please ?

Could it be it was done by CIC or at VO level, perhaps system automated?

I guess this changes happened to MR awaiting applicants. Has anyone who with newly active online status (PER or not) experienced such? Or it was only to applicants with PER active over a month awaiting MR?

Friends, people across the forum have reported this change. It seems in cases where the correspondence and mailing address were different in the application form, the site is now enhanced to show both.

Looks like a system enhancement with no connect to you application.

What is the best way to carry your funds (Proof of funds) to Canada .
I think they check it at the airport. So how can they be showed and in which form ?

Somebody told me to open an account in Scotia Bank and show the account statements

You can carry funds in cash (people generally carry approx 2000-3000) and rest in the form of DD or TCs.

Yes you can also open account with Scotia bank through kotak bank and transfer the funds from here. But you should fully understand the term and conditions, timings of bank that suits you, number of free transactions they are providing and any other limitations. Banking in canada is not at all alike in India.

Just another update I got that TD bank has extended working hours till 8 PM, not sure about scotia bank.
