1. The TAT quoted by VFS is 5 working days.
2. List of goods to follow, declaration of cash and jewellery (if any)... Members who have landed can add more data here.
3. It takes 3-6 weeks to get the PR card after landing. Currently, the CIC website quotes 22 calender days as the TAT.

Your process will continue as normal.
You can put a request for GCMS notes or CSE (Case specific enquiry). they provide all the details. Typically it takes a minimum of 30 days to get the reply. In the meantime if you file moves ahead, it is good. If not then at least you will know where it is stuck.

Is putting up a request on GMCS notes better than calling CIC? If I call, will I get the answer immediately and get good info?

Second line updated -- Jan 20 2015
Meds Reqst -- JAN 29 2015
Meds Done -- Feb 3 2015
RPRF sent along with medicals and got encashed.
Third line updated -- Feb 11 2015

In the request letter they mentioned all doc are to submitted by March 15 2015,

Appreciate your help if you can let me know when can i expect our PPR...

U have entered to a "Waiting Game" now
It normally takes about 3-4 months, as per my experience.
Please take it easy and remain cool as it takes long but, u'll definitely have it.

Hi avk3884,

- Best to submit both your passports to NDVO.
- Yes you can gives friends address for PR and he can securely transit it along to you. BTW, as of now a new PR card takes 22 days for issuance, so maybe if you stretch your stay a couple of week or so more, you can collect it in person.
- Dependants can come along later also but not before the Primary applicant has entered and completed immigration. Her Visa would also have a valid upto date by when she needs to enter and claim residency (would be the same as the date for your visa).

Mine is struck for more than 3 months. I thought it was because I requested an extension for submitting the police clearence. ECAS went with out reaponse. So I ordered for GCMS report. Done know why it takes so long for me.

Any one who is done with medicals and waiting for 3rd line update since 1-2 months.

Don't know why our medicals are struck for review while others seems to get updated with in a week or so.

I checked with VO and they said results are awaited review.
