Do we need to carry any envelope while visiting VFS to submitt passports?
I have the following:
1.Passports (Old & New)
2.The PP Request Email Print Out
3.Two photo graphs Each (One having the info about the shop)
4. A Print out with details (Not hand Written) of Applicant spouse and dependents.

638rs for each passport Cash as i am planning to collect it myself so wont be paying another 350rs for home delivery.

Anything Missing or any point i should consider etc ?
Thanks

Is there anyone who applied via Abhinav Consultants and reached PPR stage?
I'm looking to connect for two reasons
1) To know how much time it would take for visa stamping - I though it would be 7-10 days but the consultant told me to wait for 15 days.
and
2) I want to connect with other applicants to know the preparations in terms of job, accommodation and other things.
I'm planning to go to Toronto and date of travel is tentatively around April-end/early-May.

Rgds,
Sreedhar

Hi Sreedhar,

My husband and I applied through Abhinav, Bangalore. However, we submitted our passports at VFS Kolkatta ourselves. As per VFS TAT, we should get our passports in 5 working days.

P.S: Both of us have quit our jobs few months back. Currently spending time with parents in Odisa (hence, submitted passports in Kolkatta). We are planning to land in June 1st week.

One suggestion: DO NOT care what Abhinav guys say. They are 100% clueless about the process, current trend etc. We learnt it the hard way. ;D ;D ;D

Hi shridhar,

I also applied through abhinav Bangalore... Got port on 20 Feb.. submitted passport on same day itself...still didn't get back...

You need to do nothing. In layman's language, VO will ascertain your eligibility again and initiate your Background Check (BGC). The 2nd line will be updated. If the BGC is OK, you should get MR.

Hi Friends,

About CIIP this is what they are going to discuss ...you will get better idea about Canada and its economy from experts and its free of cost in one to one session they will discuss your resume and gave you tips to improve the job aspects in Canada so its good to follow the tips from CIIP ...we are going to join the session from 10th to 13th March in Mumbai .... the topics to be discussed are mentioned below :

important Notes:
1. Group Orientation Session (GO Session – 10 March) : One full day, Start time 8:30am to 5:00pm. Overview of Canada, the current economic situation, overview of Canadian provinces and regions, understanding destination and occupation options, challenges facing newcomers in finding jobs, solutions to those problems, writing a Canadian resume, taking a Canadian interview.
2. My Action Plan Session (MAP Session either on 11/12/13 March) – Duration of 1 to 1.5 hours. The MAP Session is a personalized one-to-one session with a Canadian trained CIIP Orientation Officer, where you will develop an action plan, and receive direct referrals to Canadian organizations that assist immigrants. You will be notified of your MAP Session time in advance.

So they will contact the employer to check the job duties and check other documents
