There is actually a new law that will change the period for 4 out of 6 years, starting this July if I'm not mistaken.

Strengthening Canadian Act: http://news.gc.ca/web/article-en.do?nid=872659

Absolutely right..

Mr. FSW, congrats on your file moving to Warsaw. NDVO has load balanced files for quicker processing. You should have AOR by or before this month end.

On you other point. It's all upto the frame of mind the processing officer has wrt to your application. Any things can be suspicious to them. That said, moving from a X salary to X-2 shouldnt really matter. Still if it does, they will come back to you asking clarifications. They will make all attempts to understand all aspects before they decide on the fate of any applications.

1) Inform VO of you change once it happens through a CSE with scanned copies of you releving and new employment letter. (No Negative impression created here).

2) Stick around if you can, if you are from where I think you are, Canada PR will open hell good opportunities for you. Ref UX links ;) ;) ;)

Dear friends,

Please reply

I am from India.Today Called and CIC confirms my file transferred to Warsaw.Mine NOC-2172,PER 25/02/2015 and still not received AOR.

I am planing to move from number one indian IT company to other IT company. My Designation and role will change and by strange i accepted 2 LAKHS less salry for year(from 11 to 9 now- Is it create any suspicious in CIC).Since i am in bench recently many layoffs happened in my company and don't want to be a victim of process, so accepted it and not yet join new company.

On another note, if you are from where I think you are, then try to pass you time on the bench

1)Do i need to inform WARSAW VO?If yes when and how?Is that create any negative impact in terms of delay or rejection of PR.

2)From PER 25/02/2015 to Visa issued how many months will take?If it's below four months i may consider to continue the company and ready take risk.Since my company will send PR guys to canada projects. If it takes more than 5 months not sure when they again start layoff?

Still confused ::)
183 days x 4 yrs= 732 days.
183 days x 6 yrs= 1098 days.

No permutation gets 1460 days.

If I understand correctly, at least 183 days in each calendar year to complete the 1460 days.

Hello all

can someone please clear my doubt... I do understand the changes in right of citizenship for Canada which will be 4 out of 6 years with minimum 183days in a year..

my point is what about just to maintain the PR as earlier it was 2 out of 5 years(730 days) ... is it still same ?

please clarify the time starts from the date of visa issued or from the date of first landing to maintain the pr ?

As of now, to maintain the PR, it is still 2 out of 5 years. It starts from the date of first landing.

Can some one help me uderstand this line from the link. It got me confused. What's the refrence to 183 days?

The amendments would require applicants to be physically present for four years (1,460 days) in a six-year period, and require applicants to be physically present in Canada for at least 183 days per year in four of the six years.

Ok, let me explain, when you apply for citizenship, you have to be present in Canada for atleast 4 years from the previous 6 years. You have to be physically present in Canada for atleast 183 days per year in these 4 years.

There are exemptions when you are not in Canada and working in some other country but working temporarily full time for a Canadian company or for a Canada government job purpose, then they still count those days as you have been in Canada when the time comes to apply for citizenship. So when they mean physically present means, you have to be actually physically present and not outside the country.
