Hello. I have renewed my passport though its validity hasn't finished yet. While sending my documents, I have sent the biopage of old passport. Now when they ask me for ppr, I will send my new passport. Should I send my old passport too? What shall I do? Plz send me reply an inbox.

Hi,

Since, you have already decided to get married......Only GOD will save you.....(On a lighter note).

Regarding Application.....Please note the following:

1. Apply for Marriage Certificate well in advance. Its a very important document these days.
2. Apply for the wife's passport having your name endorsed on it.
3. Since, you have applied as a Principal applicant and if you want to go alone for the time being....there is no issues/delays. However, if you want to add the name of you wife too....then you will have to wait to get married and arrange all the above docs.
4. If you do not include her name now.....but you have to inform VO that you are married now.

I have additional queries,

When should I start to inform the VO? Problem is, it wasn't stated in my PER mail which VO my application will be sent to. But I'm based in the Philippines.

Also, let's say i was able to inform them, and able to furnish them with all the additional documents and updates needed. What kind of delay should I be expecting? How many months?

And would there be any negative effect on my application?

I am outside India currently, Can I send my passport with authorization letter to my friend and then he submits the same to VFS?

Hello Friends. Please advise me on this.

I am in USA, but my VO is NDVO. Considering this I have two options to get my passport stamped:

1. Send my passport to India along with my wife. Is it legal to do so? If yes, do I need to handover authorization letter to my wife? What if later on the passport authority or customs notice that I received stamping in New Delhi, while I was in USA? Is it illegal?

2. Request NDVO to send transfer my file to NDVO. Is it possible? If yes, how long of a delay shall I expect?

Please advise me on the prudent option.

Hello Chemical,

It is absolutely legal to send your passports from USA to India and vice-versa by hand, It can be anyone from your family or Friend.
All you have to do is, to apart from the documents required for Visa stamping , you have to give an authorization letter to a person/s
who will be taking your passport to India and bringing back to USA, they can be different person.
In addition you also need to give an authorization letter to VFS Global India, for a person, who will be submitting documents
at their office on your behalf.

regarding your second question, i wont advice you to request NDVO to shift Visa office, it may unnecessarily delay the process
and there in no guarantee that NDVO will accept your request.

Source: A friend of mine has already done this, and i am going to do same.

Hi All! I'm new to this forum!

I just submitted my FSW application last August of 2014. I checked with my courier service (DHL) and it says the recipient have received my package (Nova Scotia). Seeing that I have still not received any reply or confirmation regarding my application, I'm worried that it was lost. Or maybe it's still being processed. Did my application got in to this Express Entry pool?

My country of origin/residency is in Manila, Philippines.

Could anyone advise me on this?

Normally, how long does it take to get stamped passport back from NDVO?

I am thinking about flying to India to get my passport stamped since my VO is NDVO; and I am in US on H1B.
