Pretty much good idea, you are almost about to receive PPR. But, If I were you, I would not submit my resignation until I get the PPR....just my 2 cents

Currently I am waiting for PPR, and I am expecting it before the end of April 2015.

Notice period in my current company is 2 months. I feel, after getting the visa stamped, spending each n every day will be waste of time n money. I have put all my savings for this crucial step of my life. So, I want to go there within 15 days from the day I receive my passport and start hunting job.

For this scenario, I have planned to apply for resignation in the mid of March, so I ll be relieved by the mid of May and fly there, by the end of the May.

So seniors, please throw some light here. Am I doing the right thing or should I wait till I get my PPR. What did u guys do (or) what will u guys do if you were in my situation.

1. IF I CHANGE ADDRESS NOW IS IT GOING TO AFFECT MY APPLICATION.?

2. IF I GET PER, HOW WILL I INFORM THE VO ABOUT THIS CHANGE? AND WHAT CAN BE THE CONSEQUENCES?

3. WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE OF GETTING PCC FROM SAUDI ARABIA?

Hello Everyone,

I'm waiting to receive passport request. I & my wife are living in Canada, but my Daughter is living in India( Went for vacation).

I have updated with few documents to CO-Ottawa about my daughter's travel. But no response from them.
Is there any chance that they will request my daughter's passport to be sent to Delhi CIC office instead of Ottawa?

If they request me to send my daughter's passport only to Ottawa, How do I proceed further.

If I was not able to submit my daughter passport in ottawa, Will they be able to stamp only mine & my wife passport ? Or will they ask all three of us together. Is there any chance of rejecting my PR if I dont produce my daughter passport.

I saw posts related to passport query in this thread. Can you share your experience and How did you handle this situation. Could you please help us here.

passport stampimg should be done together,but if all family members are not together, can be done in nearest VO
ask your VO that to allow stampimg of your daughjters passport in NDVO.
It can be done , raise a cSE to Ottawa for that

I am awaiting second line update. However, I have submitted docs. related to name addition of my new born child, new job and change n country with DD INR8,200 to NDVO.

Now, I am worried if they might have not changed my VO to any other Visa office as in case of others......I have already raised CSE yesterday.....but no acknowledgement........

Please advise what should be done.......Really worried.

If I book a ticket from Delhi -> London -> Montreal -> Ottawa, will it be a problem? My final port of entry is Ottawa (ON). but my question is, can I go through quebec (Montreal)?

NO. Your place of landing is the very first place you enter Canada. You cannot land in Quebec.

Resign from your job after you get ppr, not before.

I was in a similar situation when I moved from Australia to India before PER.

1. If you change your address now, it is NOT going to affect your application.

2. You will have to inform the VO once you get the PER. There is a change of address link in the ecas. you will have to update it, as well as send a letter as an attachment to the VO requesting to change address mentioning your UCI number, Name, Passport Number, DOB, etc. Don't forget to sign the letter. Then scan it, attach and send it as an email.

3. If you check online, you will find how to apply for PCC from Saudi Arabia. But please do get it before you leave the place, because that is easier.

keep a tab on your DD and wait for AOR from any other VO

Call CIC with UCI to find your actual VO

If NDVO encases your DD , then scanned copy will be enough to cliam your payment for your chhild. application.

Maximum what could happen is to pay 150CAD again so just chill

Extremely sorry to hear about your divorce.
How to approach with updating VO, I will leave ti to the senior members to respond.

May I suggest you raise GCMS, you should have it in 30 days and then will know exactly the points given on you application. It will help you be doubly sure.

+1 for excellent advice.

Order your GCMS notes. It only takes a month. Then you'll know exactly how many points you scored. Hopefully it's at least 72.

Then submit a CSE telling your VO about your divorce. They will let you know what paperwork they need.

On the other hand if both of you want to immigrate, you can consider waiting until you land and get PR cards then divorce. It would be like doing one another a favour. I can't say for sure that this wouldn't cause a problem because CIC might suspect a marriage of convenience depending on how long you were married. So proceed with caution if you go this route.

I am in US, but my VO is NDVO. Is it legal to send passport to India with my spouse, along with authority letter?

What if Indian customs find out later on that I got visa in absentia from Delhi while I was in US?

I don't think you can send ur passport with anyone it's NOT legal. Pls take proper advice
