Seniors help!!!! My FSW Visa was issued...I want to extend the expiry date of the same passport I have the Visa on (printed) before I travel to Canada...Do I need to notify CIC about the new info? will it be a problem? thanks in advance

Why do you want to reissue your passport now??? When is it expiring.

I guess If you reissue visa now, you might have to get your visa re-stamped on the updated passport. Besides, if validity of your visa had been an issue, VO had asked you to extend it in the first place before stamping the visa.

If your passport validity is not affecting your travel plans to Canada, I would suggest to use the existing passport and get it re-issued from within Canada.

Eagerly waiting for ppr email.. dm updated yesterday. Good luck to all for your respt. Processes

Seniors please reply,

PPR received and passport sent for visa stamping.

In my application, I have showed around 15000 Canadian Dollars in FD in my account. Till date no one has rechecked that amount in my account. But, I have taken back that amount after three months in my account. Now, my question is whether I have to keep the same amount in my account in FD again or is it sufficient if I carry that amount as bank draft or canadian dollars wit me during my travel to Canada?

Did any one count the total number of 2nd Line/MR/DM/PPR... so that we can know the speed of NDVO, atleast before signing off from our office location we can plant a seed of Hope at our workstation this eve and stay peacefull at home that tmrw we can expect some good news..

One last query regarding the photographs to submit with passport. Can we get the photographs clicked at VFS itself ?

Thank you so much guys and all the best for people waiting for MR and PPR .God bless you all.

Congratulations for your PPR. In my opinion photograph will not be clicked at the VFS. You need to carry requested pics with you for submission or you can get it clicked at market near VFS.

Hey James,

What's your timeline buddy???

NDVO is still issuing PPRs to May - June applicants and a lot of August-Sep applicants are still waiting for further update post PER.

Don't worry, sooner or later you will see progress in your application as well. All the best.

NEED URGENT HELP PLEASE

Guys. I'm facing an issue. When getting the PCC from saudi the police officer insisted on writing my profession exactly as in the Iqama, which is Translator. I am actually applying under NOC 1123. That will show a discrepancy in my file. In fact, I have never worked as a translator before. So my file has not got any mention of translator at all

Did any one pass through such situation before. How did it go. Did it cause any problems

Please advise as I am really worried

PCC is not used for cross-checking your work experience or for ascertaining any points.

If you have relevant work experience as per NOC 1123 and have provided all relevant documentary proofs supporting it, you need not worry about it.

Are you trying to get PCC from Saudi for the same period in which you have mentioned your work experience under NOC 1123?

If that's the case then it might raise suspicion due to contradictory timelines. If not, then no need to worry.

Today I received Passport Request!!! And already sent them! :D

Congrats and +1 to you !!

Guys need some Help

We have applied for Canadian PR under FSW 2014 , presently we got a Passport request and submitted our passports to the high commission for stamping . Now I am expecting them back in next 2 to 3 weeks. I have been told that as per immigration law,it is mandatory for the principal applicant to land in Canada prior or along with spouse and other dependents. In our case my wife is the principal applicant . As I plan to travel to Canada on 1st April 2015 , as I want to appear for some exams regarding my profession, It is really very important for me to land in Canada by end of march, but unfortunately my wife who is the principal applicant has some prior commitments here and can not do the landing before June 2015. I also have a 10 year tourist Visa Stamp on my passport , which was issued to me in 2012. So my question is if I can travel alone on a tourist Visa in end March 2015 and do my landing later again in June 2015 with my wife (principal applicant). Some one told me that when a PR is issued your tourist Visa gets cancelled, is it true?A clarification to this issue from your end would be highly appreciated.
