No friend, DD for RPRF is encashed when received and NDVO. Usually within a week.
I am afraid in you case it looks as if they may have misplaced you draft.
Nothing to worry though as VO still reaches out asking for thr RPRF again, but I suggest you raise a CSE and query them on the DD encashment proactively.

Thank you friend.. today i contacted more higher official from bank and got confirmation that the DD is paid thru clearance.. that is its encashed.. all is well now. Wish every one all the best and gud luck..

Hi Friends,

We are planning to go to canada ,complete the landing and after getting the PR card come back. We are a family of 4 and would be staying with our friends in canada. I only plan to take $5000 cash with me and keep the balance fund as it is in the saving account and stock holdings in share market.

My question is , do I necessarily have to take all the funds required ( @ $22500 ) with me and show it at the time of landing or it's good, if I just carry with me the bank statements and demat stock holding statements as proof of sufficient funds?

Any one?

One has to land in CANADA within one year of medicals or within the validity of visa, as mentioned on the visa. One has to stay in Canada for 2 years out of 4 years to renew the PR card and one has to stay in canada for 4 years out of 6 years to apply for citizenship.

[size=13pt]After getting passports back you check if there is visa in it :P

Book a flight to canada, finish your landing formalities.

apply for PR card and if am not wrong the visa is valid for 5 years and can be renewed, however after 2 years of continuous stay in canada of 4 years you are eligible to apply for citizenship. :)

Congratulations Monika !!! I wish you all the best for your remaining process...

Honestly, I don't want to be a spoil sport .....but I think lets not go over the board for this PR thing.....i know it is very important decision in our lives, but some part of ur msg was like as if our lives depend on PR...for eg., "ME DOWN WID FEVER LYING ON D BED...COZ I HAV BEEN FEELING REALLY DOWN COZ OF NOT RECEIVING PPR" (this COZ in red means tht u have fever because u did not get PPR!!!!)....this is too much....or, "M LITERALLY CRYING" or one of ur later posts said u wanted to rush to VFS today only even though u r ill.....I think lets not take these things in life too seriously....As a fellow forumite, i would request you and others to just CHILL ....life is much more than getting PR ....Enjoy ur life on Daily Basis !! Please don't "Cry' and definitely don't be ILL....God Bless You & Your Husband and Congrats Again !!!
