Keep a note Folks !

Its quite obvious if the photos sent at the time of Application, seems questioning to the visa officials they may ask to get new/recent photos for each members at the time of PPR.
But we can be active/alert in terms that., as per the norms any pics has to be not older than 6 months, the time we applied and the time of PPR arrival is quite a long period, so even if a new/recent photos is asked, be prepared folks to get a new ones, ahead of the PPR arrival so that you can save a day or two, as PPR is always a BIG milestone for all, and no one wants to wait a minute after that ;)

In case you are not asked to submit new pics, you can always carry those with you in Canada, so go for it ;D

Hey Palak Bro..!!

You are helpfull as always..!!

+1

and where are you planning to land ..???

Making very simple for ppl having POF/carrying amount query:

Per PP/passport - major/minor $10,000 are allowed without any check/verification/questions. It could be in multiples of either :

•cash
•securities in bearer form (for example, stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills) or
•negotiable instruments in bearer form (for example, bankers' drafts, cheques, travellers' cheques or money orders).

If intending to bring/carry more than $10000 per PP, tell/declare a Canadian official when you arrive in Canada. A declaration card/form is assigned on that part, you also have to declare currency ... totaling more than CAN$10,000.00 . Failure to do so could result in penalties, seizure and/or prosecution.

CBSA = Canada Border Services Agency

If you fail to declare currency or monetary instruments (signed travellers cheques, bonds, etc) EQUAL TO OR MORE THAN $10000 CAD, then it will be seized under the "proceeds of crime (money laundering) and terrorist financing act". If you have LESS than that, you have no requirement to declare it. You may be asked to show it as part of the Immigration interview.

Dear,

I have a doubt in the above.

Would the Canadian payment for children or unemployment of us affect due to the high amount of landing amount which we carry with us to Canada?

For example, My landing amount is CAD 20,000. Somebody's landing amount is CAD 50,000.

Does the Canadian government delay or refuse to pay him his children fee ?

What fee are you talking about.

BTW What you are saying is not related at all. In-short "No".

1) You are referring to a wrong guide. Below is the link to IMM 7000.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EP7TOC.asp

2) Document checklist mentions the requirement you are speaking of.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5690E.pdf

I am talking about the photos which needs to be submitted at the time of PPR... I got this link in PPR email... did I made a mistake?

I wonder what made MVO lose its pace. It used to offer fast processing for May applicants... I hope they will get PPR crazy again and get you a much deserved visa ASAP.

We were aspiring for that as well. Those May applicants did crossed the finish line within 6 months time, Visas were in their hands mostly in November.

Those were the impressive stats that made us looking forward from MVO's performance. But the reality strikes in, i do believed after those applicants, numerous files poured in simultaneously for my VO that led to this snail pace, not to mention they also handle several countries in asia as well including Korea & Japan.

Thanks brother.. and likewise to you. Hope you'll be granted visa this few days time.. :D

Dear Friends,

I'm extremely glad to let you know that I've been glued to this forum right after filing my application for FSWP 2014 in June last year. I'm extemely thankful to all the senior members specially CanOl, Ashifee, Oscar, Diplu, Manish, Palak, Vind and many more.(Please forgive me if I missed any senior member) You guys rock!! and can beat most of the paid agents out there when it comes to giving the right advice concerning our specif queries.

I hired an agent to file my application but it was this forum that helped me be patient and motivated throughout the whole process.

I'm glad to inform that I received PPR on 27th Feb 2015. Below is my timeline.

NOC- 2173
Application filed - 11 June 2014
PER - 8th October
2nd line update - 27th Nov
MR - 16th Dec
MR completed - 30th Dec
3rd Line update - 5th Jan.
RPRF PCC and Medical proof sent to NDVO- 6th Jan
RPRF DD encashed - 13th Jan
PPR Received by agent- 27th Feb
4th line update(DM) - 2nd March
3rd line update - 5th Jan

I just have one question - I filled through an agent and now the agent forwarded me the PPR email. Can I submit the passport to VFS on my own or do I still need my agent to represent me for passport stamping?

Regards,

COngratulations Canadian_Dream
