My hearty thanks to all the forumites!

congratulations

Here is what we considered -

2 Places in Toronto GTA we figured out have a decent community presence of Indian's i.e. Mississauga and Scarborough.

Missisuaga (Scarborough is the opposite)
- Lesser property rentals.
- Good connectivity to Toronto via train.
- Few and not that great options of primary education for kids.

We are planning to land in canada in the month of June but still unable to decide where to land as we don't have any friends or relatives.

I thought there might be many of us who have the same problem.. Hence thought to post this question so that we can brainstorm as we did till now..

Any ideas or suggestions....

If the address was not verified by Local Police station or was done over a year back, high chances that it will happen.
however the Passport officer takes that call and he may still issue you a PCC onthe spot.

For PCC from india refer to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/india.asp

For LOCAL RESIDENT requests :
For districts other than the Punjab:
Applicants should contact the local Senior Superintendent of Police/ Superintendent of Police/ Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner of Police, the Additional Commissioner of Police, or the Station House Officer (Police clearance certificate issued by the Regional Passport Office are also acceptable.
For residents of the Punjab:
Only the Senior Superintendent of Police or the Regional Passport Office may sign a Police Clearance Certificate.

FOR Non-Resident Requests :

Applicants should contact the Indian embassy or consulate.

Hey guys can any one tell me if there is any schedule in which RPRF FEE, medical and PCC should be sent.

I was thinking of paying the fee and sending the receipt , then get the medical doen. And as PCC will take time I will send it asap.
Is that how everyone else did?

Hi All,

I have few doubts regarding landing in Canada:-
1.) How much amount in dollars/rupees we need to present at the time of landing in Canada? Is it compulsory to carry minimum amount of cash with us or we can carry travel card?
2.) I can fly to any province under FSW program and settle there, correct?

Please help.

THANK YOU BRO......WHEN ARE YOU PLANNING TO LAND
