JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY ...

[size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt]Canada & Australia seem to be the HOT destinations to immigrate in the recent years. Since most if not all of us have made a choice of one over the other, would be nice to know the reasons that made us pick Canada and not Australia.

Looking forward to the DM/PPR mails, not the actual rain in NEW DELHI ! :P :P :P

They are taking much deserved breather. However, they and all of us cant afford this for more than a day.

Looks like NDVO was having some PPR Target to be achieved for the month of February which they achieved and they feel they have enough time to achieve target of March Month so kind's of relaxed on PPR front now.

I am with you on this. And the silver lining is that march targets may be bigger than Feb targets due to express entry knocking at their doors.

Jai Sai Ram!

With the blessing of Sai ram, I am pleased to tell you that I have got my passport with Visa Stamped. Thanks a lot to you all for being so informative and for helping me in passing this long and tedious wait.

May god bless you all

Hi, nothing to be worried as long as your POF is still unencumbered.
So, if you have POF for 7 lac hypothetically and now you loan EMI say of INR 20000 is being paid from you salary, which is over and above the declared POF, you are well placed.

As far as i know, CIC cannot get you banking records without your approval/consent which is not gived under any form we submitted.
Basis your CR/DR of the statement you have submitted with the VO determine that you have met the POF criteria.

Hi all,

Need expert advice on the following issue,

For POF i submitted saving account details showing the required funds and is maintained to the required amount since then. I had a piece of land on my name which i dint bother to declare in assets as i already had required funds in cash. Now i am in process of getting a loan for construction on this land, after which i will sell the whole thing. What impact will the loan have on my application taking into account that it will not effect my settlement funds. Do i need to send VO any update on this matter. I am very concern regarding this matter.

Thanks and Regards.

I'm nov 29th applicant, got PER on 17th Feb, and after that no updates on my application. Before per, my HR told me that she got a verification (paper) , to recognise me (i.e. About my employment details) but I don't think so.. I'm not able to trust her for this.. It is possible that before getting per somebody verify your company or employment or experiece?

hi ,
I recently got my passport request and i just update my wife's documents in delhi embassy so can anyone tell approx how much time it will take for der decision.

I dont know much for IT, but the likes of TCS and Accenture have presence in Toronto GTA.
On Finance, for certain Toronto GTA is the place to be. The Big 6 are present there and so are the the other key players.

Dear I think primarily due to below reasons (my thoughts only, not a research parameter):
1. Quality of life including children education, medicals etc.
2. Power of Dollar (Currency denominations in home country)
3. In some country with worse law and order situation, people may want to move to these two places.

Re: JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY ...

My thought, This is the only one major reason, I chose CAN over AUS as 1st choice.

Perceived opinion on the diversity and racism aspect.

My problem with this entire "2172 CAP FILLED" message that has been floating around is that anyone who posts it, only says that either they got the information from someone they know or that someone on some other thread got that as a reason for rejection.

No one has been able to say "I got rejected and it is confirmed that it is due to 2172 CAP being filled". To those that claim to have received their packets back stating CAP filled as reason, lets be realistic, people who were rejected in September/October are claiming to have received their packets last week...so how come December applicant packets are coming back already?

Another reason someone gave was that "they are opening all packets to check for job offers and the rest they are rejecting due to cap being filled". Now that is illogical as FSWP2014 did not have a "compulsory job offer clause". While, yes, it is quite possible that our applications would take a back seat to EE applications, which would result in longer processing times...especially for us December applicants, I do not believe they would apply the EE rules to FSWP2014 applicants.

All in all...I conclude that unless one of us actually receive our application back with a letter confirming that "you have been declined due to NOC2172 being capped" or an email to that effect or a clear response from the CIC customer care stating that the application is returned due to NOC 2172 being capped (which is rather far fetched because usually rejection reasons would not be disclosed by customer care centers usually...I could be wrong ofcourse, but in my limited knowledge of how they function this information should not be given out over the phone) we should really avoid spreading rumors.

Passports and photos submitted today through VFS Mumbai
638 per passport + 377 per passport for courier to home

Cheers

Firstly, you applied in May, its a very silly thing that you didnt wait a bit longer and apply a passport for you wife and then file your application.

Marital status on you passport has no affect on you aplication thought the PSK may deny you a on ther spot PCC if they identify that your family composition has changed.

I would suggest that you now reach the VO and advise them that you want to have you wife added along.
They should come back with he aditional documentation and fees needed.
