Hello friends,

The second line " medical result received" has been added to my ecas. My passport will expire in September 2015. I am thinking of renewing my passport before my PPR by Accra visa office. Please what do you think?

I also want to know the deadline from PPR to the submission of the passport.

Sorry don't know about AVO, but NDVO gives 30 days,

But in anycase they wont accept a passport which is less than 6 months from expiry, so go ahead and renew the PP ASAP

PP should have 6 months validity for stamping visa.

I have queries as follow:

1. My application status is "In process" and received PER. There are three options to check "In process" details and I clicked third option (Application for Permanent Residence - Federal skilled Worker submitted to Sydney, Nova Scotia). How I will know about 2nd line update?
2. From which email id I should expect AOR email?
3. What is the average time to get medical request from local/remote visa office?

Will appreciate if you can reply.

Hi All!
Congrats to everyone who have made it through, and to those who are inching close.

My story for the time being has been brought to an end, Journey so far goes as follows:

First Application:
1st July 2014 Rcvd at CIO.
Returned on 26th Sept 2014 Due to Stale dated DD (ICICI bank stamped it for 3 month validity by mistake).
Received back on 11Th Nov 2014.

Second Appllication:
24th Nov 2014 Recvd at CIO.
CC got charged on 20Th JAn 2015.
Ecas started showing 1st line on 2nd Feb 2015.
Then
Ecas removed by cio on 15th Feb.

Called CIC agent on 24th Feb 2015 seeking status of application as NO PER recvd. Agent told me that my application is still under review and only thing I can do at this point if time is WAIT. Then I inquired regarding ecas unavailability, she asked me to raise CSE at Technical difficulties desk.
Sent CSE on 24th FEB 2015,
Received reply on 27TH Feb 2015, stating my application has been returned on 13Th Feb 2015.
Chapter Closed. on Temporary basis now.

Will be waiting the returned package, to see whats the reason behind.

I giot MR+PPR+RPRF on 21th January . Sent PP on 27th January .Reached on 30th January.

Thanks for you suggestions but my worry is if I get VISA in Jun and I serve 3 months of notice after jun then I will land in Canada in September or October , which is almost year end and will be difficult for me to search a job at year end.

so I know it is risky but I never travel abroad and sent PCC with application so there are chances that I will get VISA in May.

I would suggest you should wait till PP request!

I know its daunting and 3 month notice period is a lot, but since you did meds in Jan, you have until next Jan to reach there.

But the nervousness of leaving a job without other offer, will always be there. A very lucky few will get placements from here itself, most of us will have to quit our jobs,, go there and then look for jobs.

Better you write to CSE.

Your visa is valid up to the date you have done your medical.

I hope they will extend 1 more month.

I got my Medicals/RPRF request on 3-Feb. below are the deadlines given in my covering letter.
 Medical: Complete or provide proof of completion of the Immigration medical examination This must be received at this office by: 2015/03/20
 RPRF: Pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee This must be received at this office by: 2015/03/20
