WAIT FOR YOUR MR. INFORM VO AFTER THE BABY IS BORN. VO WILL ASK FOR BABY BIRTH CERT AND PASSPORT WITH PROCESSING FEES AND ISSUE MEDICAL AFTER PROCESSING IT. IF YOU RECIEVE MR BEFORE THE BIRTH OF YOUR CHILD INFORM THE DOCTOR BEFORE YOUR WIFES MEDICAL AS X RAY AT THIS STAGE MIGHT NOT BE ADVISED. YOU CAN INFORM VO BY RAISING A CSE
HOPE THIS HELPS

Tell them now. They will know that in medicals that you are pregnant and baby on its way. Hopefully x rays will have to be deffered.

Just spoke with a colleague working in my company's Toronto office about economy and job market stuff. He's ethnically Indian, born in Caribbean and living in Toronto since years!

He generally sounded quiet positive about job market conditions.

He said those in regulated professions will have to get local qualifications. For example, those holding Indian Chartered Accountant (CA) or UK (ACCA) will find that their qualifications don't hold much value there.

He had an ACCA, and he had that struggle to start with.

In general, what he meant is that those relaying on educational qualifications need to get local equivalent to get the job they deserve.

Those with non regulated skills such as IT, wouldn't find that qualification barrier. He said there are lots of jobs in Canada in IT. His wife, a recent immigrant found job quiet fast.

Annual leaves are two weeks minimum. But that can be negotiated with employer, if you do well in the interview and if they want to hire you then they'll be happy to negotiate. I know people who've negotiated 20 days a year.

Overall, there are lots of opportunities in Canada for the people with right skills!

I thought it'd be good to share this with people on this forum and to encourage them to feel confident about finding job soon after landing. Especially, lots of people have gotten or are about to get their visa at this stage!

I wish everyone all the very best and sorry for long and poorly written post but I'm busy in the office so didn't have time to write it carefully!

1. Yes advisable as it will reduce hassles later on.
2. Check the link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/india.asp for PCC issuance.
3. PCC can be issued locally from Dubai Indian embassy also.
4. Check the link above for the detailed process from India or from abroad.

Very useful information.....
+1 for you....
I want to confirm again that PCC issued from Indian consulute will enough ? I guess I have to submit PCC from Dubai government + PCC from Indian consulute in Dubai....

that's right.
In case you have stayed in any other country for more than 6 months, you will need to provide for that country too.

Thanx dear....Canol"..

You are doing wonderful work....

Hey how bat background check..?
How they do it ? When they do it?

I have changed job after the application...
I have informed VO for the same submitting relieving letter from previous company, joining letter of new company & also job description from new company with the visiting card of the person who had signed my job description....

Do they check with previous company or only with the current job ?

Is the background check related to work happens for everyone, or only if they found some doubt only ?

That correct brother.. Its always 1 month (approx) between MR and PPR/VISA, but it got delayed due to some unexpected/unknown reasons.. But now with no dependencies, everyone can expect DM/PPR in a month after MR

CanOl said:
Congrats and +1 to you !!
Lookinga the current speed, you may get DM and PPR within a month
