Congrats to all of you who got a PPR and MR ,
I have a serious doubt,
My husband and I applied on 21st July 2014 NOC:2132
Received Meds : 20-Feb-2015
If By chance we get PPR by 20-March-2015 and he is leaving by May
As a dependent should I also move to canada within 6months from Visa stamping?
Also If I am going should I permanently move or can I just visit and come back to India and finish all duties and then permanently move?
Seniors throw light please....

Regarding travel, I recommend to travel to-gather. So that all the after landing formalities can be finished at a time for both.
Once everything settle there, you can definitely come back.

There is no restrictions. But you can not come immediately. At least PR cards & all other visa formalities must be completed.

I don't know how long it may take for after landing formalities.....but may be max...1 month....

Dear friends

What is the latest MR received from ndvo with respect to per. Furthermore kindly suggest me one thing about PCC my passport is of different address and I now live at a different address ( for more than 4 years ) so from where do I need to go for PCC. And is there a format for the same ..? If yes kindly give me a sample PCC which is done through police station not visa office. My mail id is anurag.chandiramani@gmail.com

Thanks and anticipating a revert.

As a dependent should I also move to canada within 6months from Visa stamping? - This should be decided by you. However, I want to add that you can land along with principal applicant or afterwards. But, you need to land before your visa expiry.
Also If I am going should I permanently move or can I just visit and come back to India and finish all duties and then permanently move?
Seniors throw light please.... You can do a short term landing ( a week or so) and come back for the final move. This is fine. Only thing you need to take care is that the PR card is sent after 3 months or so. And you need to provide a Canadian address where the authorities would dispatch the PR card. Please note that the authorities can not dispatch this card to an address outside canada

Replied in red. HTH!!

If you are in India, you can do PCC in passport office by scheduling an appointment online
just a proof for your address is enough (like a HR letter from your organisation or ration card) is enough to do this job,
Proof for the address you are residing
it just takes some 3 hours for the entire procedure to complete
also google for images of PCC already they are available on internet

1. YOU HAVE TO ENTER CANADA WITHIN 1 YEAR FROM MEDICAL DONE DATE....
2. YOU CAN GO TO CANADA AND COME BACK ANYDAY AS UR HUSBAND WILL BE IN CANADA TO RECEIVE UR "PR" CARD WHICH U WILL BE REQUIRING TO ENTER THE CANADA AGAIN. SO, HE CAN RECEIVE IT ON UR BEHALF AND SEND IT TO YOU. OFCOURSE YOU CAN STAY IN CANADA FOR 2-3 MONTHS AND GET UR PR CARD AND TRAVEL ANY TIME TO AND FROM CANADA.. ....
3. YOU NEED TO STAY ATLEAST 24 MONTHS EVERY 5 YEARS TO MAINTAIN UR "PR".

Hey Folks.......urgent advice plz
When I submitted my application , I was not in good terms with my manager so I gave my colleagues reference who also works as a manager.....however, today he got a call from my company HR asking for verification ( about Y did he acknowledge the reference letter as my manager when he is not) He got afraid and denied his acknowledgement ......now tomorrow they may call me regarding this.... I am scared I may lose the job also curious what if the HR sent negative feedback to verification office..... now my question is how do they verify the job details....do they call directly HR or the reference...what could be the consequences ....please help....

Hi seniors, it's been a week now no call from my HR...I am wondering they might have given a positive feedback but worries that I still didn't get MR request ...please advice I have currently 7 years Exp with this company. ..also I have submitted form 16 for till date...what could have happen should I expect this a positive thought and wait for MR medicals?
My second line update was updated on 12th feb 2015...please advice

What is wrong with the SS? Can anybody help with this?

HI Folks,
Sharing with you my experience today calling CIC twice just now :-
Call 1 – French Male picked up the call and just informed me I should be calling back after March 3. The only question he asked – when did you sent the file. I responded 22 Dec. Call over
Call 2 – French Lady – Asked my email, DOB, Country of Origion, First Name and Last Name then told me that only she can inform that they received the file on 22 Dec and she asked me to wait and keep a watch on my emails and said she cannot comment on the timelines about next course of action either. Asked me to wait and greeted me a great day.
Don’t knw how much longer will CIC take to process the application on NOC 2172…..I guess no other option but to wait and pray and relax till March 3.
