Dear Ashif Bhai/ Century and Seniors,

I have received the below reply from CIC on my enquiry. My case timelines are on the left.
Could you please help me interpret what CIC means on Pending medical assessment ??

============================================================
Dear Sir

Thank you for your enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.

This application is currently pending medical assessment of XXXXXX (My Spouse). If applicants need to travel during this period, please inform our office and we will return all passports (without visa) to applicant.

Please be advised that all statutory requirements must be met before we can issue. We therefore cannot provide you with a precise date by which this application will be finalized. Your continued patience is appreciated. We can assure you that we give the highest processing priority to cases which are ready for visa issuance for which passports have been submitted. Until we contact the applicant, either to request additional documents or information or to return the passports, we will not be able to respond to further enquiries.

We hope this information will be of assistance.

Sincerely,
I think the action item is with the SGVO they have not completed the medical assessment for your wife hence the delay.

Its strange to see that even if you got the PPR in Nov 14 you are still waiting for the the visa .. so nothing is sure untill it is for sure in your hand and you see it to believe it.

All the best!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys,

Can some one please let me know the phone number to contact FBI. I want to check whether my finger prints are accepted or not. If not need to send other one...

What is the current time frame to get the FBI clearance report?

The usual timeframe is 3 months in most cases.
One of my friend got his in about 3 months. I am waiting for mine, just applied.

Congrats Jt6112.. :) ...that was amazingly fast :o

Despite all the analysis/speculation of the way NDVO is working it certainly can't be a coincidence that most of the PPR issued by NDVO have been to applicants who have sent their PCC along with application. Diplomatru has said that PCC has nothing to do with security checks then how do we reason the timelines for Jt6112 ??? ??? ??? ???

While I am happy that certain June/July applicants are getting PPR so fast, it becomes really frustrating to wait for your own PPR. Had there been an order to PPR process, such as FIFO (first in first out), considering MR date or App date, people with later MR or app date could have "switched off" for some time. However, when you find no order being followed by NDVO it becomes really stressful as you constantly keep thinking "may be I'll be lucky today" :-[

Anyways, there is nothing much we can do except to keep checking our ECAS daily and hope we are the chosen one :D

Cheers!

Reasons

1.It is still registry and PA has to take the file and move to CBO

2. its already checked and approved by CBO but still has to get approval from PM. So lying in File ready for visa registry

3.It is on the desk of a CBO , he may complete the checks today

4.It is on the desk of PM ( most likely his assistant) and may get an approval today

5.Security and criminality check shows a red flag ( your name , pic or facebook group, or your social activities, local criminal database, government official database etc ) throws some signal. Most likely your face or name is remotely matching with someone in the list- it sends for a detail check to CSIS

6. you have lot of travel and they need to match each country specific database - takes time.

7. you have a visa rejection and it is not mentioned - Only for USA and Canada visa holders - it is up to officer to take a decision whether this should be treated as misrepresentation- usally they don't do it provided if the visa rejection was not because of fraudulent activities

7. your file is approved and updated in Sap system, it is waiting for the next scheduled update to update in web site) if this is the case the file is with a PA and she simply does not find time to send you a PPR email

8. CBO identified a likely misrepresentation during his check , file is forwarded for a local background check team ( NDVO conists of two officer based on 2004 audit report- note sure the latest)

These are the likely reasons

S

Very informative. We may be not able to get this information even from VO :).
+1 due.

Good morning all.....

To all my fellow May'14 desperate applicants :( waiting for DM/ PPR...Lets hope for a possitive day.....

Just one query, Is this status update in the CIC website happens only on tuesdays or can happen anytime during the day??

Many Congrats | To all Folks/Friends,

Whoever have received PER/MR/PPR/Visa
My Heartily wishes for future success to everyone :)

Agreed Maple bro..!!

Somehow....It's surprising for me that such a developed country has no proper system developed / followed for immigration..!!

Looking at the few Dec end / Jan'15 MR applicants getting DMs and Sept/Oct.Nov MR applicants waiting for PPR....really doubting this BFD concept...all these now look nons***se...

::) ::) ::) ::)

socc3r bhaai ,
Most pending files are because of background check / criminality check.

Those who submitted PCC along with application getting faster DM / PPRs

Others will have to wait for 3 months more :o :o :o

Friends,

In Global Spreadsheet I observed one guy who filled application on July 28th already has a visa from NDVO, his name in the sheet is rehan.

This is really surprising ::)

i guess its just a delay without any reason. Many of us had submitted PCC with the application itself. But still in the queue. :(

Yes very very true.... We dont know wht would be the exact reason, it totally depends on visa officer.

Even I submitted my PCC along with my application but during Medical request time again they asked me to submit along with Medicals, RPRF.

So PCC would not be the cause of delay
