Hello Friends,

I have received AOR from Colombo Visa office on the 13th of February 2015. Originally selected NDVO.

I had shown proof of funds as a bank Fixed Deposit, I have moved my money to other investments, so I no longer have that fixed deposit.

and I have seen people in the forum who have been asked for last 6 months account statement. Do they ask that from everybody specially in case of people who have submitted fixed deposit as proof.

Please advice people, It will be helpful once I get MR(hopefully :P).

We did thru VFS Bangalore. Very simple, carry photographs ( although there is an outsourced photographer there, he was closed when we reached,10am.) Also carry the printout as 2 printouts+ 30min browsing costs 150 bucks. VFS Bangalore doesn't accept credit card, so pls carry required cash. The whole process takes only 10-15 minutes.

Thanks anipeter...

How much it will cost totally, VFS bangalore office is in Shivajinagar right ?

Will they deliver it back to our home address or we need to go to VFS office to collect back the passport ?

xman, there was no need of the pcc from town B in the first place. Town C pcc was sufficient cic requires 1 pcc for 1 country and the pcc isn't required for last 10 years. Current pcc is sufficient.

So get pcc from town C and relax.

I had sent a CSE - 4 days ago to NDVO, since all my documentation was complete in Nov & i dint hear anything frm them.

Timeline on the left.
Congrats bro

Friends ,

One update from my side is that ...

1. NDVO lost my pcc and asked me to send scan copies of pcc on 6th Feb.
(I had sent them pcc along with MR)

2. I replied them and send scan copies of pcc within one hour of email on 6th Feb only.

3. Today I received email that they have my pcc and my file is pending for Security Checks.

Following lines are from ndvo email

Please be advised that the the Police Clearance Certificates have been received by our office.

The file is pending back ground checks and final review.

At present no action is required on your part.

Now i dont know this is good news or bad news :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

I also dont know how many days they need for security checks !!

Hi xman,

I would say, Yes, they will ask for a fresh PCC and each PCC has a valid date. 6 month's I believe.
Regardless of when you stayed, the PCC issue date is considered for validity purposes.

Another thing, in India, you don't need multiple PCC's from each state you have stayed in. Single PCC from the area commissioner or PSK does it all.

As you have a fresh PCC from City C. That should suffice if they ask you back for it.

perfect. +1 if karma permits

Hi, I hope to get a reply on this, getting worried by the day.

I sent my application on 18 December, which was received 24 December 2015. I sent my documents through courier DHL. I noticed that December applicants have been getting some updates like CC charged or DD encashed, my application has no movement at all.

I reviewed the airway bill I got from DHL and just noticed that in the receipt they gave, they showed the 'ship from' (that would be my home address) and 'ship to' (CIC) details. However in the 'ship to' details, the code they indicated was for 3012. I checked my copy of the documents as I made exact copy, I used my correct code of 0112 (HR Manager). In short, the envelope that I used to house all my documents showed NOC Code 0112 on the front but the plastic envelope from DHL mistakenly showed 3012.

Question: will CIC open ALL the plastic envelopes from courier? I'm worried they will discard my application on the basis of the code indicated in the courier-provided envelope.

I hope to hear from anyone with similar experience. Thanks.

Thanx for you reply Bro, +1 for your effort to go through my wordings

But if my PCC mentions the period of stay in that city, then also they will not ask PCC from other cities

they won't ask. Current dated pcc is required. Pcc not required for last 10 years
