CANOL
- I received my per through courier with the Date december 09th, when i inquired CIC they told me my e-mail ID is not updated in their records thats the reason i had received my PER through post. However, my 2nd line got updated on February 2nd as " We started processing your application..But iam worried , neither i have received my MR through post nor though an e-mail..Please advise me do i have to submit a CSE now or wait for few more days...Can u plz ping me the link to submit a CSE and also the format how to ask them for my e-mail id update and to notify them that i have not received my Medical/RPRF/PCC..Iam really worried and tensed..plz help me brother :(
[/CANOL]-- Please help me to the above query ...plsssss

The CSE link to update Email ID is on your ECAS page. Use that. Absence of PER doesnt really matter.
Just ensure your email ID is updated before MR email is sent. Cos that email contains instructions and UCI numbers of co applicants / dependents.

Hi Seniors,

I have couple of questions to which I need advices as well ...

1) My Passport fell down in water and is literally in a bad condition , however it is readable but I am not willing to take a risk ... I will apply for my new passport so that once I will have a PPR Request , I will send the new one for the Visa stamping... I need to know that what are the steps involved in all this ? I mean shall I inform to CIC before applying for my new passport or Shall I inform them , once the new passport is in my hand ? In both the cases what is the procedure to contact CIC or an authority responsible for handling such issues ? Please explain in detail ...

2) Will this delay my application processing ?

3) Is it compulsory to get the Medical done from the country of your residence ? or it is okay to get your medicals done from anywhere in the world as long as the medical hospital is under the CIC list ?

Please Advice ..

Hello Friends,

Finally last Monday,16th Feb we landed in Canada ;) ;) ;) . And Canada welcomed us with a freezing cold of -32 degree. Anyways thought of sharing our wonderful smooth landing experience with you all. Flight landed at Toronto Pearson Airport at 3.00 PM and reached the Canadian Border Security counter at 3:10 PM. We had our customs declaration form filled with us from the flight and the Border Security Officer (Lady) asked only one question. "Is there any good following you?" and I answered "No, we have only the luggage which we have with us" , our surprise she updated something in the computer and stamped our passport( All together took less than 2-3 minutes). Then she asked us to go to the next counter which is the Immigration counter and one Immigration office welcomed us ( He was such a nice person and started talking to my 2.5 yrs little daughter and she also started talking to him non stop and he called his colleagues also and introduced to my daughter and that talk went for couple of minutes). After that he asked for our COPR& passport and I handover that to him and he entered some details in the computer and cross checked the details with us which is in the COPR and asked us to sign the document. He took the orginal COPR and returned the passport and copy of COPR to us ( this process took 10-15 min as he has to enter the details in the computer and do some documentation)Later he said that if we want to apply for SSN then there is representatives from Service Canada in this office and they can help us. We went to that counter and immediately the provided us with the SSN to us and said that there is no longer SSN card in canada and all we will be having is this SSN document(took around 10 min). Finally we came out of the immigration counter and collected our baggage and on the way there was a customs officer who asked for the customs declaration card and we handover it to him and he said we are good to go. Can out and took a taxi and went to the serviced apartment in Mississauga which we booked in advance and we reached there in Mississauga at 5:00 PM.
Long storry in short, it was a wonderful landing experience and all the Candian officers were so helpful and nice and well behaving. They welcomed us to Canada and made us comfortable and finished all the formalities within 30 minutes from the time of landing.

Thanks to all in this forum for the great help.

Now our CIC status changed to complete with the wording " Landed on Terminal 3 Toronto Pearson International Airport on 16th Feb and became Canadian Permanent Resident"

Hi rebell,
Please update or share your timeline so that someone can help you.

1) Did you receive your medicals? Or are you waiting for it. If yes, then you can apply for a new passport and send the copy of the new passport with a covering letter mentioning the details.

2) I don't see a reason for the application process to be delayed.

3) Yes, you can do the medicals from anywhere in the world from a cic mentioned panel physician.

Hope this helps. Seniors please advise.

Hi Mates,

I am Oct 201 applicant and recieved PER in Jan 2015 but hasnt been contacted by NDVO since. I have a question for the background check. I lived few years on student base in Canada and few years worked in UK. Will NDVO send me request for background and criminal check for Canada and UK or do i need to contact them by myself? Any advise would be thankful.
