PCC comes only during the criminality check. A visa officer search your details ( I posted this some time earlier today - how these checks are done) and only if there is a red flag, an detail check will be initiated by CSIS which is time consuming . I cross checked this with a ex visa officer . Only thing is a Security and criminality should be done by a senior CBO.

so they complete very quickly for people whose name or photograph does not resembles with red flag list. your file likely sitting on a visa officers desk and he may grab it first thing in the morning.

Adisu01: Question to you. "Medicals have been received" Does that mean medicals are ok or is it simply receipt?

Hi All,

I have received second line update after 88 days from PER.

Thank You for the support as always. Wish everyone the very best in the process and hope everyone gets PER \ MR \ DM \ PPR soon.

It does mean that Medical results are accepted by CIC.

Hi,

Have a query in landing using COPR. I heard that it takes almost 3 months to receive PR card. Am planning to apply leave in my current company and visit Canada and apply for PR card. After which, will return back to India in a month.

Given that, PR card would not been issued by then, how'll I be travelling back again to Canada - the second time? Or is it necessary that I need to wait and get PR card, before I return back to my home country?

Pl. clarify me.

Thanks.

Hi everyone!!!
Long time without coming online....
My landing experience couldn't be better. In just 40 minutes I was moving from the plane to the outside of the airport! Amazing, everything here is so fast and painless. In the Immigration Center they just asked for my Passport and my COPR, nothing more. I gave them the address where I was supposed to be staying for the first few weeks and that's all. No POF or something similar. The luggage was waiting for us when we arrive with the trolley so no waiting there.
Just an advice for the people who are planning to come here in the near future. If you are not used to the strong weather conditions or you have not friends/relatives who can help you to settle, avoid coming in winter. For us it has been painless because we have had a LOT of help, but changing from 25 degrees to -20 is not funny at all :)
That's all! I hope I could come back in the near future! Thanks everyone!

Some days it goes up to -26 feeling like -30 and with wind chill....but soon by March 3rd week it will be spring....yay..... ;) ;)

congrats brother...
u received MR mail on 02jan...and u mentioned RPRF submitted on same day...does it mean u made online payment?
after completing ur medicals on 05th jan when did u send them the medical reports and other pending documents asked to u?
kindly share the dates...

Hi
Yes RPRF was submitted online on Jan 2 and the receipt was couriered to NDVO on Jan 3.
The meds were done on Jan 5 and the related docs without the bills and the copy of our passports were couriered on Jan 6. As some forum members had suggested that bills need to be sent to, they were sent a few days later. I do not remember the date. We were not asked for a fresh PCC.
I hope that helps.

Dear Seniors/experts,

One of my fren received this from NDVO few days ago;

Dear Mr. XXX,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

In support of your application for permanent residence in Canada, you have provided IELTS English test scores. I have also reviewed other documents provided by you. Given your proficiency in English and the fact that you are an English teacher, I have concerns about your ability to become economically established in Canada.

Before a decision is made in your case, I am providing you with the opportunity to comment on the above concern and provide any additional documentation. You have thirty (30) days from the date of this letter to respond.

If you choose not to respond with additional information, a decision will be made based on the information in your file.

Sincerely,

Visa Officer
Immigration Section / Section de l'immigration
High Commission of Canada / Haut-Commissariat du Canada
7/8 Shantipath, Chanakyapuri

India / Inde

Is this procedural fairness letter? What points actually may be produced as the satisfying response to the visa officers about how he could economically establish himself in Canada? your valuable suggestions are sought.

Rgds,

Vishal
