I had got PPR yesterday and now have started to prepare landing / settlement.

Due to lower price of crude oil, I do not see job opportunities in energy sector (for which I have 10 yrs of experience) in near future. My problem is I expect to get last date for landing as April 25 as my medical were done on April 26, 2014.

Option1: I land in April with family & stay in Canada.. Search a job.. If unsuccessful, Get PR card in 45 days & get back to India search a new job.

Option2: land in April.. Stay for a week & get PR cards delivered to a friend's address. Come back to continue job in India & go back to Canada after securing a job.

Has any other forumite also faced similar situation ? I need advice.

yesterday was my last day at work... now I will go to some vacation & skill up-gradation .

My time line is ::
App received - 9 June
PER -- 23 Oct
Medical 17 Dec
Medical received by NDVO-- 30 Dec

Hopefully my DM/PPR comes next week & I land by April.

I would like to share that I have received my MR n RPRF request today. My second line was updated yesterday n I have received my MR n RPRF in 1 days time. Couldn't believe it when I saw the email popped up in my inbox.

It was wonderful to see two full days of the rain that was expected a month or two back. But better late than never.
However, key is that they continue the momentum as at times even slow moving traffic gives you hope and complete stuck story bring desperation. So like everyone, to sum up the sentiment, hope that the new guy in charge since last week at NDVO keep swirling his stick and backlog gets cleared quickly.

Now the key thing is that since the person 06/25 application date got PPR from NDVO shows that the time is getting consumed in administrative hassles rather than in actual security and criminality check. Hope they overcome the lethargy in their ranks and prioritize things in the way they should be and not making people wait for 5 months after medicals.

Need you expert advice, I have applied fsw2014 and currently waiting for my PPR.
Recently my company applied for Canada business visa for me which I got it for year to go to Canada for attend important workshop for 10 days.

Now I need to know do I have inform cic about this Canada business visa which given by Canada embassy only.

Every now and then a heated argument starts among the members of this forum regarding congratulation posting issue. Guys relax! this is a social place, we don't come here only looking for solutions to our problems..

We come to connect with like minded people (Those who chose immigrate to Canada at the same time). In our daily life, there are hardly any one who would like to hear us talk about whether our Credit Card is charged or our second line is yet to be updated or if we wonder why LVO is so damn slow or if NDVO is transfering files to other VOs This is why we come here and talk about these things with others dear members.

I request both parties to avoid such arguments as there is no end to it. There is no referee here to settle this conflict and these congratulations messages will continue, whether you like it or not. So lets keep this forum a friendly place and continue to help each other
