Hi seniors,

I have my UCI number , I got it after calling to CIC , now i entered my UCI , it says " In Process " and if I click over it , it says " We received your application for permanent residence on December 12 2014. ". However, I didnt receive any PER email yet. What does this means ? Does this means that I already achieved PER ?

The First Day of Your PR will start once you land in Canada and validate your COPR at the POE.

To keep Canadian PR active one has to stay in Canada for two years in five year period.

However, can someone tell me when does the five year period start?

Is it the start date on PR Visa?
or is it the date of entry in Canada?
or is it the start date on PR card?

Also, I wanted to know what is the start date on PR Card? Is it the date of entry into Canada or date when one applied for PR card or the date when PR card was printed?

In our case, we have forgot to include the email in the communication section, So we have received the PER through email to India. The PER was generated on Dec 31st, 2014, CIC posted the PER hard copy on January 07th, 2015 ... received on Jan 21st, 2015. We have taken photocopies of all the forms which we have sent to CIC and that is how we got to know the missing of the email ID .... hope this is the case with u ...

Congrats vvv... raise a CSE and write Urgent in subject and request for passport to be stamped in Australia. Else look for someone to carry your pp for stamping (not advisable)

It's only a matter of few days before you receive your PER. Be patient!

Dear fellow members,
I am pleased to notify you that I have received a passport request from NDVO for visa stamping. I would like to thank everyone for their hard effort who constantly supported me to reach this stage.

But I am currently one issue. I am currently residing in Australia and I have sent emails / phone NDVO several times to send me passport request to Sydney VO, but they igonred my mails. Now, what shall I do ? Shall I send my passports to VFS Nepal and they will send to NDVO or shall I reinform NDVO about my address and ask for relocation of visa issuance and wait for the response.
