Finally ! PR VISA Reflected on my Passport.

Yesterday received all PPs for me and my spouse/daughter.

Happy to inform you guys that I got a PPR mail today from NDVO... My DM status updated in ECAS on 09-Feb-2015.

Since my wife is pregnant and expecting the child in a couple of weeks, so planning to send a cover letter explaining the situation and attach in a CSE.

Please advise how long they will take to send me the list of document to be filled for the child and how long they will take to send a medical request for child.

NOT MUST but its always better to have. Otherwise you will take along either cash, bankers cheque or travellers cheque. You can open your account here while in India at Scotia bank and can get activated it at the nearest branch of your location after landing anywhere in Canada. They will provide you the statement of your deposits which you can present (and accepted as well) at the immigration counter in Canada as POF.

Do we need to show the exact amount as POF as shown in the application or the required POF.
I m planning to carry 5000$ APPROX whereas reqd POF is more. So shud i carry reqd POF or only the amount i feel is reqd for me ??

It is always good to prepare in advance.

u hv rightly thought to be ready when mail drops in ur mail box asking for PCC.

So, no worries and go ahead for PCC application.

Even though if it takes more time from VO to ask for doc and ur PCC is expired, you can apply again.

But advantage in applying from now is, u wll save many days (and pain of waiting for PPR) when u wll b asked to submit these docs.

Hello Seniors,

I got my PER on 28th Jan this year and CIC told me that they transferred my docs to Warsaw(via Cu care). So, i was thinking to apply for my PCC even before my AOR or MR so that I can have it ready when they request for it. Do you think it is a good idea, considering the fact that the validity or PCC is 6 months(INDIA) and VO can take any number of months after PER to send MR?

Looking forward to your suggestions.

Kindly read below as suggested by Palak Patel, few threads back:

A Query for How much money to bring while entering Canada

There is no limit to bring money to Canada by a PR
You need to declare at immigration check that you hold more than $10,000
It is not mandatory to bring/carry the same amount that you showed at the time of filling/showing Financial Proof (forms)
Other money if less than $10000 you can carry a travelers cheque/DD or even can transfer money later on when you are settled
Immigration Check team/people will sure make sure that you have enough money for 1 year survival before you are landing
This thing they will conclude by few basis questions in form of small interview at time of immigration check
The money you have showed POF or intending to carry are already taxed, so whenever you bring to canada in some part of full, those amount will always be non taxable in Canadian terms and accounts
In case of transferring huge amounts, one need to prove that all part of it is already taxed within your origin country.

Is ur case truely IN for FSW 2014 or FSW 2013..??

I thought FSW 2014 started from May 2014...
