Here are high level stats of FSW 2014 applicants who have received Medicals in respective months and still waiting for PPR

SEP med - 63
OCT med - 96
Nov med - 126
Dec med - 48
Jan med - 101
Feb med - 17

Again many applicants are not active in the forum or updating SS, so we can expect 1/3rd of Sep and Oct MR applicants have already received PPR

There are very less MRs issued in December, hence once Sep, Oct and Nov are cleared by NDVO issuing PPRs in Feb, we can expect fast PPR processing times for Jan and Feb MR applicants

I would guess so.
I know for certain that Canadian banking is off today.

Hi Folks,

I received AOR from Colombo Visa Office today, 13th Feb 2015

Visa Office selected in app: NDVO
App Rcv date: 9th Oct 2014
CC: 18th Dec 2014
PER: 15th Jan 2015
NOC 2133

Anybody who's file has been transferred to Colombo Visa Office?

Can you help me the typical timeline of Colombo visa office?

Hello Dear

I have same timeline as yours. NOC: 0121
I also got AOR from CVO on 13th Feb that file transferred to CVO instead of NDVO.
It shows that CVO take around 12 months in total.

September October and November all in February? Heights of positive thinking..but reality is not so rosy..we just have 12 or 13 working days in this month and there is not even one case reported so far today

I feel NDVO might be issuing PPR's on constant basis.... but people are not updating/ sharing their status here on forum...

??? ??? ??? ???

There is so much chaos on this forum regarding delays in MR, PPR, DM or anything else!!

Boss, Why are you all so bothered and panicked??

If we lose hope on such issues THEN WHAT WILL WE DO WHEN WE LOOK FOR A JOB IN CANADA AND DO NOT GET ONE IN TIME??

Dont panic, Have hope and most of all be patient.

Things will work out in your favour.

Hi Ratingcrady,

Thanks for your inputs..from your timeline it shows Interview after Medicals? Could you clarify if you have received the Interview confirmation after submitting your medicals? This would help others to be ready if there is interview after medicals?

Thanks,
Ziyad

Hey, can you give us more details like which NOC, date on which you have dropped the application, date on which it has been received in CIC etc etc....

People on this forum are quite kind and very helpful.

We are Software engineers both me and my husband.
I can't remember the exact dates that we sent the application but it was in the last week of September 2014 and they received it on the first week of October on 2014.

Hello Seniors,

Well after a dreadful 3 months wait for my FBI PCC :o :o :o :o, I finally submitted it to NDVO along with my local PCC's. 8) 8)

Meanwhile my wife and my new born baby boy also had their medicals done in first week of February.

Considering I sent all the docs today i.e 16th Feb , how many days/weeks/months wait before I get my Passport request? :) :) :) :)

Regards

Don't put your papers till the time you have stamped PP in your hand. Never underestimate working style of CIC, so better have patience in everything.

Pretty good message!

However, finding a job is in one's own hand (at least party)! But the speed of processing one's visa application for Canada is totally beyond our control so it's not very sensible to loose hope or become impatient. Worrying about something that is beyond one's own control can only do harm.

Best thing to do is be patient, be confident and MOST IMPORTANTLY KEEP BUSY. Start researching about accommodation, travel arrangements and shipping your stuff etc. to Canada. If you're busy working out things you'll have less time to worry.

We all wish that finding job doesn't become an issue for anyone of us!

And I'd like to HIGHLIGHT this and tell this to EVERYONE here: "DON'T ASSUME THAT FINDING JOB IN CANADA IS GOING TO BE DIFFICULT. DON'T AIM FOR LOW TARGETS AND SET LOW EXPECTATIONS." Just be prepared in case things don't workout exactly the way you want. However, be confident and aim for a competitive salary and a good job soon after landing.

I am telling this from my personal experience. I know people here in the UK who thought UK economy was in recession and it'll be tough to find a job, they struggled quiet a lot more and are paid less than those who were confident and had positive attitude. If you believe in yourself, do the right things ie. prepare proper CV, more importantly a good cover letter telling your story, apply thru right channels and be well prepared for interviews then you're sure to find a job you want!
