Hi Folks,

I received AOR from Colombo Visa Office today, 13th Feb 2015

Visa Office selected in app: NDVO
App Rcv date: 9th Oct 2014
CC: 18th Dec 2014
PER: 15th Jan 2015
NOC 2133

Anybody who's file has been transferred to Colombo Visa Office?

Can you help me the typical timeline of Colombo visa office?

To all the lovely applicants

I read so many posts, some happy for PER, some frustrated with the wait and some over the moon for getting a PPR

Feels so happy to see many elated applicants, they have waited for this day hoping to change many things in life, probably had been mocked over many things by people around but they still were patient for this day.
Many would have cried in happiness after such a long wait and finally it has paid off!
Wish you guys handle every other situation in life with such patience and achieve what you always wanted to - GOOD LUCK!

To all who are still waiting
To be practical, this is life! Things you never wanted actually, you get them at ease and you dont realise its importance.
If it takes long, tests your patience, has given you sleepless nights, made you not to get to work during this time, then just imagine of THE day when you get a PPR and THE day when your FACEBOOK status is going to change to MOVED TO CANADA .. .. ..yes thats what am talking about! Just hang in there, its not by your choice you are waiting so let it be what it is, let that end result be of matter and think of that day when you'll forget of this wait that kept you anticipating for that eternal thing - PR

SARAI - have you received your PPR request.

I do not think anyone knows as CIC have only started to transfer some files to Colombo, I believe they are smaller office than NDVO, maybe half the staff so not sure how many files have been transferred and how quick they will be

Hi All,

I have a query.

To be honest, there's no one-size-fits-all answer to this query. For example, if it is just a couple, and no kids, it might be better for both of you to go and get settled in together. If you have kids, you have to look at the start of school year, etc. Even though Canadian schools have to enrol your kids even if it is the middle of the school year, it might be better for the kids to spend the summer holidays there, before starting their first year of school in Canada, in order to get acclimatized to the weather, the new country etc.

any june applicants left to receive MR after 2nd line update from NDVO

Hello wonderful people. Many of you know my situation. Finally I got a reply from NDVO:

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

As you are currently in USA, you are advised to submit your passport to our office in New York after you receive the passport request letter from them.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Immigration Section/ Section de l'immigration
High Commission of Canada/ Haut-Commissariat du Canada
PO Box 5209
7/8 Shantipath, Chanakyapuri
New Delhi, India/Inde 110021

==============================================

So as per my understanding i will get a new passport request letter from New York Visa office
and my current PPR from NDVO stands cancelled. So now again the wait begins for PPR from NY VO

Hope this clears one more thing to everyone in similar condition (In US and VO is NDVO). You need to raise a CSE and hope that reply comes in time.

Good luck to everyone..
