Guys,
Received an AOR from Colombo VO.
(as per mail they transferred my file from NDVO to Colombo VO & reason written "This has been done to provide the shortest possible processing time.")

App date:09/24/2014
PER:01/07/2015
AOR:02/11/2015

Many of us received AOR from Poland but any one received it from Sri Lanka....? :o

If many such files are transferred to VOs with relatively less applications at their desk, then everybodys process will be quick!

If you dont mind, would you please pm or post the email you received here for our reference, just curious to see that they bothered to mention that it is done to shorten the process time.
;)

Congo on you PPR.
While other forumite buddies Diplo and Raja have made it abundantly clear that you have not much of a choice but to inform VO on this change in your family composition, I have a doubt here.

When you and your wife would have got MR request, I assume, she would have been during her pregnancy then.
How did you get her tests done with out informing the VO as I understand that doctors advise against x-rays during pregnancy. That is usually the trigger where applicant inform VO of this development.

Yes you are right, we have already informed NDVO about my wife's pregnancy in Nov 2014 and submitted the MR accordingly. However i never received any communication from NDVO after MR. Today i got the PPR email, hope i am clear in answering your query.

Will it be safe to send the passports of my family and me through a person travelling to india.

I know this will require authorization letter at least but need a confirmation if this can indeed be done and the passports can be submitted to VFS delhi or wherever.. through the authorized representative.

dont know safe or not but its illegal as per Indian law!

That changes the perspective.
Diplo, whats your take on the situation with this consideration?
Sachin, do you have your child's passport ready? (thats a must)
Maybe raise a CSE with a copy of the earlier intimation that you triggered during MR and seek clarity if all 3 passports can be submitted.

Someone has rightly advised you not to send passports. First of all, please apply for your passport renewal and at the same time, inform NDVO about new born. Your status on ECAS will change back to In Process. You will be asked to submit Generic form 0008, Family details etc, birth cert, copy of passport of new born and fee of 150 Canadian dollars.

Once all these are submitted, you will be getting medical request for the child, get the medical done. Third line will be updated again after this proces. Wait for PPR again. By this time, you will have your renewed passport in hand. Submit it and you will get visa for all your family members.

If you submit your passports now, you will surely get visa but you will not be able to take your child along. Sponsorship procedure is very complicated and time consuming. In any case, even after getting visa stamped on your passport, when you will approach NDVO for PR visa for your newborn, all the above stated process will be repeated.

I am wondering its been 26 days since you had a baby, why didnt you inform them, you could have saved all these 26 days.

In case you have more questions, please PM me.

Thanks for the clarity on the process in such circumstances however i did inform NDVO both at the time of MR and at the time of baby birth, surprisingly i never got any revert on those notifications.

Hi recruitskm,

Can you please clarify whether your wife underwent X-Ray diagnosis while she was pregnant? Normmaly, docs advise not to expose abdomen to x-ray when pregnant.

Nothing to worry. We checked one of the gcms today and his PER was generated on 14or15th December and the file was received in New Delhi office on jan 1st. The file is in registry and not yet assigned to a visa officer. again the notes was a month old.

I assume your file is getting assigned to a visa officer or being reviewed by an officer. Keep checking online status.

Thanks
s

+ note was generated on jan 11th

Adisu01,

Thanks for reviewing my GCMS notes. To the benefit all, I'm posting info about my file

GCMS Created on: 12-Jan-15
GCMS Received: 10-Feb-15
PER Received on: 14-Dec-14
File Received at VO: 6-Jan-15 (Location:Registry)
Last Location of file: ECU-FRP (Economic Class Unit-File Ready for Processing)

Paper files are transferred to VO and it hardly takes 20-21 days for transfer. Kindly make a note, GCMS is a month old. I hope the file is already assigned to officer right now and hope to get medical in a week time.

Cheers,
Naresh
