Hi,

I got my request for medicals today. Does this mean that I am essentially "guaranteed" a fsw visa if nothing strange shows up during the medical exam? I applied the first week when CIC open for applications 2014 and have been granted PER as well as having my application status set as "in process" up until today (i haven't checked if it has changed).

What is the start of the 1 year visa validity period? Is it the date of the medical exam or the date the visa has been granted?

First of CONGRATULATIONS for the PER.

You seem to be reading too much into the post PER process(being an HR mgr i dont blame you :) ). Its a wait game all the way.

Wait for more or less 45 days and you should see a MR. The ref checks happen, just keep your coach informed.

Cheers Bro....

one more thing... i have not sub my PCC yet, should i start the process or wait for MR to come?

Just get it after like a month. Incase, if they ask send it to them, if not keep if for you reference. ;)

Will it be safe to send the passports of my family and me through a person travelling to india.

I know this will require authorization letter at least but need a confirmation if this can indeed be done and the passports can be submitted to VFS delhi or wherever.. through the authorized representative.

so how is it going on Goku bro... did you get your job transferred or looking for a new one in Canada?

Did you file yourself or through a lawyer?

My case is now in God's hands... I mean it always has been in his hands only.. but I am in a tricky situation. Have got PPR but in USA now. I have a colleague who is leaving for india tomorrow who can carry my passports but am not sure if I should go ahead and take this risk...

Guys I need some urgent advise, looks like something is not right!
My application received: 11-June-14
PER Mail received: 8-Oct-14 (no visa office mentioned)
Online status says: "We have started processing your application on 10-Dec-14"

After this I have not received any updates regarding my application (no e-mail & not even a change in the online status).

My patience is running out, am not sure what to make out of this scenario & what to do? ???
Plz advise :'(

Do you work with corporate or agency? 1123 applications are taking time.. If you work for a corporate, you might be called for an interview like 5 others on forum..

I am good. My job experience for FSW was based on my Canadian Work experience. I am already full-time employed in Canada from past 2.5 years. I filed it myself.

I would say don't take that risk. It a risky step from my point of view. Read instructions on last page of PP. Not trying to scare you just letting you know. I know few previous case in which some succeeded and some where badly screwed.

It says we can't post indian passport out of country by mail. And says it should be in possession with either the holder of passport or an authorized individual. Not sure what it says about carrying passport by authorized individual out of country.

I guess I will show patience as usual and wait for one more week for Delhi VOs reply. If they don't reply then I will send my family to India... no other option left... in case I don't receive a reply before 15th Feb
