Completeness check by CIC officer does not mean only that forms and signatures are simply there. It means that documents provided by the applicants are also included. Without reading these documents (reading supporting proofs of your claims) the officer cannot decide if these documents are sufficient and acceptable or not. At this point the officer makes a match between the NOC descriptions and requirements and your professional experience description. This is how they find if there is any discrepancy or not. Then they charge your mode of payment. A senior or a second immigration officer checks later the application and documentation to confirm or decline the decision taken by the first officer. At this stage you get either a PER or an NER. This is one of the reasons why most applicants with a cc or dd charge get always PER later because CC is charged when there is a high certainty that the file is complete and all in order.

Yes, I am crossing Niagara falls and re-entering in few days. Its just snowing too much here, so can't take a transport as of yet.

Good luck bro.. I went there few days ago for landing at mid-night. Hardly, to me 20 minutes from going to US side, getting administrative refusal, coming back to Canada and completing the process. On Canadian side it hardly to 5-10 minutes as I was the only one.

P.S. Walking on International border and looking at frozen falls was kind a fun. Also carry .50 cents (if you are walking) as you will need that to enter walkway from Canadian side to go to US side on Rainbow bridge.

You may submit a new Express Entry profile, but it is not necessary. However, we will not refund any processing fees paid related to your original application. Your existing application will be processed based on the rules in place at the time you applied.

If you choose to create an Express Entry profile and are invited to apply, you will be required to submit a new application for permanent residence and the associated processing fees.

I have recieved an invitation to attend personal interview for a job offer in Toronto on 2/13. I am in USA and dont have a visitor visa to canada.

Does anyone know the duration to get the visitor visa to canada from USA.

I had got a visitor visa from the consulate in buffalo, NY and had got it the same day(took abt 3-4 hours). Mind you, this was about 3 years back. Not sure, if things have changed.

I can see a lot of Aug Applicants wither getting a 2nd Line update or MR requests, was wondering why i have not recieved either of the two. My timelines are

App Recd Date : 15th Aug
PER : Dec 5th
NOC code : 0112 HR
Visa Office :L Guessing it is NDVO

Just wanted to know if they are initially processing the applications which have the PCC sent with it. I Have not yet sent my PCC planning to send it with my MR.

Can someone clarify please?

Brother me also 13th August applicant and per 4th December waiting for second line and Mr update. And i sent a pcc with the application. So i think this is not the reason for you and me not getting the second line update.
It is a matter of time, we will definitely got medicals in this week. so positively wait for the MR. all the best buddy

I called CIC and after several times was able to get my UCI .. Online status says ..... IN PROCESS since 4 weeks

how long does it take for PER email after UCI is created and any additional update on this NOC 0121 processing
