Hello Guys

I had a couple of questions regarding the MR/PCC process...
I received my MR/PCC request on 16th Jan
(NOC: 2171, App Date: 31 July, NDVO)

1. The mail states that I need to get PCC from every state in India that I lived (>6 mths) in after 18 ....This seems like a really impossible task. Can I send my current location's PCC? Other ppl who have done this please help.

2. We are expecting a baby pretty soon. We mentioned the same when we went for our Medicals. I guess I still need to state it explicitly when I send my MR and PCC details. My question is: Should I attach doctor's certificates with my correspondence? What other documents do I need to send to support my case?

Thanks in advance for any help.

your 1st question is quite strange... pcc for every state ????? In india there is only one pcc for all india as per there website

Good day everyone :D

Just want to clarify if I can send my PCCs before the email from LVO requesting for PCCs?
Is that a good idea? OR better wait for their email re: PCC & MR request?

Btw, I received my PER last 7Nov2014 and up to now still waiting for PCC & MR request.
I was thinking of maybe by sending my PCCs now would make the processing of my application faster ;D

I will appreciate your thoughts/opinion on this.

I THINK YOU SHOULD COLLECT PCC AND KEEP IT ON YOUR HAND. WHEN THEY WILL ASK THEN YOU MAY SEND WITH MR

Hi Forumite, Just some enquries. Is it mandatory for all your family members to undergo FSW medical test even if they are below 18? Also, would one send passport by post or you have to appear at the embassy in person with your dependants at the point of entry visa issuance? And, at what stage would ones's Biometrics be taken?

Is the embassy supposed to put your photo on your visa?
Mine does not have it. Where the photo is supposed to be placed there is the expiration date of the visa, my last name and my passport number. Hope this helps.

Greetings....
I am looking for a response for question at the earliest please:

For PCC, I see that CIC is asking as below:

"Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate for Principal Applicant and Spouse."

I am from India, does this mean, I shall get PCC from all the places in India where I stayed/ Lived more than 6 months? I stayed in several places for Work.... Please guide me in this regard... thanks for your help in advance!

Regards,
Only one PCC for India, no matter in how many places you lived.

No, PCC extension does not mean MR extension. The only situation where you get MR extension is if one gets pregnant and is medically unable to complete the medicals.

Thanks for the reply. Would that mean my visa validity would be reduced, since visa is valid from the date of the medical. This is assuming that there could be delays in PCC .

Hi Rescan... there are many applicants who had done the meds in Sep/Oct 2014 and are still waiting for PPR. So you are not alone ... Since NDVO outsources security check to another agency it is also not in their hands to fasten the process. They will send PPR as and when they receive the inputs from that agency. Typically, it is taking around 90 days from MR so I would suggest just sit tight and you should get your PPR within this month :-)

Btw, we usually hear some good news from NDVO on PPR on Mondays.. so here's hoping that NDVO sends out a lot of PPR in this week.

Cheers!

Yes, thanks it helps.
Seems odd that they ask for 2 photos when they don't use both.

@ kraburn
@ jryan007

They ask for photo to check if it matches the required specification, as this photo will be used for ur PR card and COPR at the time of landing, so dont lose them else ur PR card issuance process will get delayed.

Hi! Need some advice. I received my MR and Request for PR Fee on January 30th. Now, I lived in the usa so they have requested police clearance by FBI and also home country again. As you all know everything needs to be submitted within 2 months. My medical is done already.I have started processing for FBI request. however, their new lead time is now 4-5 months. Also, fee I will pay through Demand Draft for which CIC says cannot be more than 2 months old. So I am really confused, but I planned out something like this:
- Jan 30: received MR and fee request
- FBI: start on Feb and expected results in June. SGVO will probably get my mail by end of June. So thats definitely more than 2 months
- Local Police report: Send to SGVO around March(within 2 months of request) since its validity is 6 months. So it will be valid till August by that time FBI report will be with them.
- Demand Draft- When do I send in? Even if I send in late march according to CIC letter it will be considered till late May only. My FB report will still be missing then. Has anyone faced this before? Why does CIC says 2 months when most demand drafts are valid for 6 months?

Is it any useful if we send i query? Where do we send in query to SGVO?
