I think that since when CIC/CIO return your application package they send it via "SNAIL" mail therefore the more appropriate image will be as under:-

What do you think, it matches with the speed at which CIC/CIO is working and term of SNAIL in use by the CIC/CIO.

Hi guys, as you can see I'm new to this forum but thought it would be helpful to help with my FSW application to Canada. My application was received very late, 27/12/14.

My questions are
1. Generally how long will my application take and what should I expect?
2. What are all these acronyms you guys use, I know PPR but not the others

Boss viacanada "DUI violation is a criminal offense if case is registered against you and if you have any case against you bu third party on DUI violation it will be reflected on your PCC/ you may not getPCC at all".
Most of the time DUI is not registerd as case and is settled as on the spot fine.

One day gone and still no MR mail for my dependents. Shall i raise a query or wait. My family did medicals in Sep, 2013 and the same were sent to CPC when i applied for extension of their stay in Feb, 2014. My app reached CIC on May 23, 2014. Are they thinking about relaxing medicals for my dependents.

I have a DUI violation and got PCC with no mention of it in it. So I am sure that in India, PCC will not mention it.

The case may not been registered or sorted out or the state where you are staying may have not
have involved your DUI case in their database,
thats a good thing/lucky for you.
As per my knowledge any DUI case is a criminal offence in India, your PCC may be withheld if your case has not been cleared,( ANY CASE DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE A OFFENDER, REMEMBER OUR POLTICIANS THEY HAVE SCORES OF CASES AGAINST THEM STILL THEY FIGHT ELECTIONS AND GOVERN OUR COUNTRY)
If offender have paid the Police the fine for DUI, offenders case will not be registered,
If any third party has lodged DUI case against any person then fine can not help him out he has to settle with the third party so that the case is withdrawn by the third party.

My friend was in this situation we worked it out of court to settle the case outside and the case has been withdrawn

Coming to point if you have a valid PCC then NDVO checks the authenticity of the PCC from the issuing authority and not any specific DUI case, thats not in their jurisdictionSs you can sleep over it .

I submitted PCC for me and spouse on oct 12th and raised CASE specific enquiry to NDVO, they replied saying PCC forwarded to concerened officer and they will contact me once next set of instrucctions are determined.

can someone please tell me what is happening

Terrible situation,

thay have not started your seciurity check yet

means your PCC has not reached your file, or VO has kept PCC in the file and kept the file aside and forgotten
Praying to God seems the only way
