I am Nov. 3 applicant. My DD encased on january 7,2015. Waiting for PER.

There is a high probability that you will get your PER today. Because yesterday one 3rd Nov applicant with profile name Jammu got his PER.
Just check your inbox, as well as junk/spam mail in order to verify that you have received any email from CIC or not.

I am happy for those who have got the MR, RPRF and PPR

Just have one question, post christmas and new year leaves why is it that NDVO focusing only on Files recvd
in July and so on.

Why are they ignoring the files that have reached in May and June and which have reached mid way.

All are just waiting that the VO has some mercy and looks at the files reached in May and June.
If it had only one file or two, I could have understood that there is some issue with the files or BGV.
But not so many people could have BGV or file related issues.

Highly upset the way NDVO is processing

Enjoy your weekend guys! Next week will bring fresh hopes! Delays are not necessarily denials! You have reached this far and eventually will reach the destination. While some of you may reach early and others in next couple of months. For sure excitement continues and Guesstimates will continue too! There does not seem to be any fixed pattern in case of NDVO! It's important that we keep our patience and keep communicating, encouraging and helping each other not only in this forum but beyond!

:D

Good one Rohit

+1 to you . . .

indian passports will be confiscated at border - cannot be mailed out

Actually that isn't the case. I got email just before my planned return to the UK. I'm leaving India in few hours so I will have to get ME done in the UK!
You can get it done in India as well as you have 45 days to get it submit. Thanks

dear members,

can i send my passport from germany to india for visa stamping giving an authority letter to a friend?

No of people have already conveyed message that it is illegal to send you passport out of your residing country.
What if you are in a mall and police ask your verification. The only identity is your passport and if you don't have it then the consequences could be really bad.

I'd rather suggest you to send a mail or CSE to NDVO seeking for information and guidance. NDVO is the only entity which can answer your question and respond quickly as your problem is very genuine

Hi,

I have a resident card / work permit as an authorised document for my verification. And I have also shown it when i was asked for an idendity in past.

And I am aware that i cannot mail out my passport. Thats why I am asking whether I can send it out with my friend with an authority letter signed by me.

That is the only option i have i guess.? Can you suggest some better alternative?

Hi terki,

Thanks for the reply.

Do you know of someone who has already done it? is it legal or is it just a better option than mailing throught courier?

pl read page 36 of Indian Passport paragraph 2 - it defines not to mail out or send out

==========================================
legal way of sending passport -

either urself

or by way of friend with letter of authority - (notarized)

I sent it via friend in 2009 - no issues at all and by experience seen many others so pl note this is ok

good luck

Guys who have been discussing about sending passport for stamping. just one thought. ...

We can send passport for stamping to any visa office. so say if u are in Canada and NDVO is ur visa office. and u have got passport request. You can send it to visa office in canada and get it stamped. Stamp could be given by any canadian visa office.

One of my friends did the same thing. And yes it is not safe to send out passports to other country. :)

I would suggest sending out email to cic or ndvo to confirm this as well.. Just my 2 cents

Try exploring an option if they can process it Germany as an exception.

All the best
