"First step is completeness check where apps are checked to see that all docs are in place.
App is charged on successful application.
First line in ECAS is updated.
Next is eligibility check where apps are checked on the basis of the 6 eligibility criteria and points calculated.
PER is issued after this if app meets CIC standards.
Next the App is transferred to the respective VO either by hard copy or electronically or both.
VO then does app scrutiny one more time, background check and security checks.
2nd line in ECAS is updated.
If applicable, applicant may be called for interview.
Then MR is issued subject to satisfactory completion of background checks.
Applicant undergoes medical tests with panel physicists.
Once positive MR results are recd by VO, 3rd line in ECAS is updated.
Security checks if any are done.
Passport request is sent to applicants.
4th Line in ECAS is updated
Applicant sends passports to VO / embassy for stamping
Passport is signed, stamped with COPR and sent back to applicant
Applicant has to complete landing formalities within 12 months of MR.."


My questions is that what kind of security checks are done after receiving medical tests . . . . . is that related to PCC or anything else . . . .

I completed my medicals on 10/12/2014 and sent RPRF on 15/12/2014 . . . . waiting for PPR

guys received MR today.in email it says i have 60 days but on medical form it says i have 30 days which one is correct .thanks

reply back to them and ask which timeline is correct.

In mediclal request form, Imm Type is written as "Non EDE". Can anybody please tell me what is meant by Non-EDE..

CCSIS IS THE AGENCY WHICH DOES CRIMINALITY AND OTHER CHECKS. IT'S A THREE LAYERED CHECKING, PRIMARILY TO CHECK ANY CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS PENDING AGAINST ANY APPLICANT. THIS APPLIES TO ONE WHO HAS TRAVELLED TO OTHER COUNTRIES. CIF FOLLOWS UP WITH CSIS ON REGULAR BASIS AND THEIR MINIMUM THAT IS 14 WORKING DAYS AND CAN RANGE TO THREE MONTHS AND IF SOMETHING GETS NOTICED, AND THEN IT GOES FOR FURTHER VERIFICATION WHICH MIGHT DELAY PROCESS TO ONE YEAR. HOWEVER UNTIL REPORTS COMES FROM CSIS AND ARE CLEAN, YOUR APPLICATION WILL REMAIN UNDER PROGRESS. SOME APPLICANTS GOT THEIR MR EARLY SO THEY ARE GETTING PPR AFTER 4 MONTHS DELAY WHILE SOME ARE WAITING FOR MR FOR ABOUT 3 PLUS MONTHS .IT DEPENDS WHEN FILE IS PICKED UP FOR CRIMINAL CHECKING, IF IT IS PRE MEDICALS THEN MEDICALS GETS DELAYED FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS ,IF IT HAPPENS POST MEDICALS THEN PPR GETS DELAYED. ONE THING IS FOR SURE, IF AN APPLICANT HAS STAYED OUTSIDE ITS HOME COUNTRY, WITHOUT CLEAR CSIS REPORTS VISA CAN'T BE ISSUED. I HAVE NOTICED SOMEWHERE IN 2013 ONE OF THE APPLICANT WAS DENIED TRAVEL TO CANADA AFTER GETTING HIS PASSPORT STAMPED AS SOMETHING NEGATIVE APPEARED IN REPORTS AND HE WAS CALLED IN EMBASSY FOR INTERVIEW WHERE HIS VISA WAS CANCELLED WITH A LETTER STATING THE REASONS. SO IT'S WORTH THE WAIT TO GET CLEAR REPORT AND THEN GETTING NEXT STEP AHEAD IN THE PROCESS.

Just send an updated form with cover letter explaining the mistake and why that happened through case specific enquiry to ur visa office

Finally with blessing of the Almighty Allah........I have received my PER today ..... ., that too 2 PER's.......
They say, " Uppar Wala Jab Bhi Deta Deta Chappar Phadke....." . It has been a very painful wait of almost 14 years . Was very young and a Bachelor at that time .All my friends and family who had applied with me at that time had passed through and settled in canada 8 yrs back . Always wondered Why not me ?, but never lost faith in myself..

Applied..waited ..failed.....Applied ..waited ..failed....Applied..waited ...failed...Applied..waited.. and Finally Passed.....

Thank You all for your wishes and specially the ones who prayed for me....
