Hi Seniors,

I just sent a CSE to NDVO asking for more time to send the US PCC.
but it takes 28 days for them to respond, whereas I am supposed to send all documents by 15th feb

Will I be getting a email from NDVO confirming that they have agreed to give me extention ?
How will I know whether I get an extension or not ?

please advice
Regards
Arjun Singh

Guys,

Does it really takes 28 days to get the response? Then how should we proceed with US PCC Taking so long?

Yes, they request everyone to submit the bio pages copy with medical results.........don't know the reason though !

That's because some applicants would have a change in name/passport expiry date & so on. So to make sure that the details updated on the system before requesting PPR should be latest and upto date.

Example: I have renewed my daughters passport before sending the application pro-actively, some applicants may do it after sending the applications, in anticipation that VO would ask for the same to be renewed, which would obviously take time for renewal.

So the bio-pages are asked for in the best interest of the applicant.

Hope this helps console your curiosity.

Which number you dialed?

Please share..

Based on recent timelines you should get charged by next week

Hi tjam,

Application received on 5th Sep 2014 (Nova Scotia, Canada)
NOC : 2171
CC : Not yet charged,

Kindly let me know if you know any one with the same NOC 2171 - cc/dd already charged (Sep applicant)

I called the CIC office in Canada n it seems that the IVR systems have changed. I followed one of the recent posts but realized that there has been a change.

Here is the updated route

Procedure to get CIC agent on phone
  • Call at – 0016139444000
  • Select 1 for English
  • 1 for Immigration Info
  • Call is being transferred to CIC
  • 2 for status - Changed to 1 for Status
  • 1 for PR
  • 3 for PR (again)
  • 1 to continue
  • When it asks you to enter UCI number just be on hold n let it say it 3 times then the call is automatically transferred to an agent
  • Agent will ask information about last name, first name, date of birth, application received date, email id etc.

The only problem being that the IVR dropped me as they were experiencing high call volumes. Do you guys recommend particular time of day to call them? I chose this time as I thought that this is within their working hours.

I got through to some lady int he middle of the IVR this time and she mentioned the same thing that the folks there at CIC are experiencing high volumes. she asked me to write to question@cic.gc.ca. I remember seeing some other email address. Can the seniors in this forum please confirm?

Thanks for the info... +1..
