Dear SGVO applicants,

Do we have a tentative timeline or a trend on how long SGVO is taking to issue visa/PPR after submitting PP.
I submitted PP for family on Dec 24 and haven't heard back from SGVO as yet. No update on ECAS. Not even 3rd line for medicals. But the Medical results were uploaded on Nov 17 by hospital.

It seems the PPR process has slowed down in the new year. We had a clear trend in Dec of around 17-19 days for PP submitted to Visa Issued.

Let me know. Thanks.

God Bless all !!!!

Dear Forum Friends!

Hope everyone is fine and getting maximum out of this wonderful, informative, collaborative and helping forum.
Can anyone let me know what is the latest progress of MR for "London Visa Office" applicants, I mean which application date applicant has received the latest call for MR.

3rd line should be updated after about 7 days of medical test. Not sure about PP. i've submitted five weeks ago,no update so far. One of my friend submitted on 9 Dec. He received DNA test request for his son.

Canadians don't have to get an H-1B. They could but they don't have to. They can use the TN visa (can potentially be renewed indefinitely; also there's no quota) to work in the US.

Not to disappoint you, but with Canadian passport you will not be allowed to work anywhere else but Canada. While you can get a US work visa at the border rather than at the embassy (a small perk Canadians have compare to the rest of the countries), you will still need to first fine a job in the US that is willing to sponsor you an H1B visa.

On a related note, CAD 38,000 is not an annual income--it's an annual GDP per capita. In other words, the total value of everything the country produces in a year divided by every Canadian citizen. While it does correlate strongly with the wealth of a society, it does not mean that every Canadian gets $38,000 annually.

dear my comments in green

1. If one intends to get a Canadian passport with the intention to find a job outside of Canada, don't waste your time. As a Canadian citizen your odds of getting an offer from the US are very much the same as from e.g. India. Frankly, the odds of landing a job in the US that would be willing to sponsor you an H1B from outside of the country are not significantly different from zero. Again, my message stands, as a Canadian you are not eligible to work in the US or elsewhere else, unless you get a work visa.

2. I merely made an observation that it does not mean every Canadian gets at least $38,000 a year. This is a virtual amount though it correlates with the wealth of a society. By the way, Per Capita = Per Person (Capita is "head" in Latin).

Thanks dear.
Yes usually medical results are updated within 7-10 days and ECAS 3rd line shows up. It actually did not happen in my case though. I went for medicals with family on Nov 11 and on Nov 17 the hospital uploaded eResults which were all okay. However, ECAS was never updated. We just went with the instructions for us by SGVO and submitted PCC+RPRF first and on Dec 24 we sent the passports. However, its been 4 weeks now. Getting a bit worried on this. I dont want to send a enquiry to SGVO as it may annoy them :-) Lets see what happens.

Good luck.

I think its still 3 years off 5 years stay or 1095 days of stay

3 years out of last four. Number of days calc is correct as per CIC website.

Is any brother here under NCO 3234?
