Dear SGVO applicants,

Do we have a tentative timeline or a trend on how long SGVO is taking to issue visa/PPR after submitting PP.
I submitted PP for family on Dec 24 and haven't heard back from SGVO as yet. No update on ECAS. Not even 3rd line for medicals. But the Medical results were uploaded on Nov 17 by hospital.

It seems the PPR process has slowed down in the new year. We had a clear trend in Dec of around 17-19 days for PP submitted to Visa Issued.

Let me know. Thanks.

God Bless all !!!!

Not to disappoint you, but with Canadian passport you will not be allowed to work anywhere else but Canada. While you can get a US work visa at the border rather than at the embassy (a small perk Canadians have compare to the rest of the countries), you will still need to first fine a job in the US that is willing to sponsor you an H1B visa.
= Yes for sure Canadian passport holder can work. Its quite obvious that for an job one needs an offer/valid job to work for. With some formal documents/forms one can work legally for eg. US (this case students are exempt)

On a related note, CAD 38,000 is not an annual income--it's an annual GDP per capita. In other words, the total value of everything the country produces in a year divided by every Canadian citizen. While it does correlate strongly with the wealth of a society, it does not mean that every Canadian gets $38,000 annually.
I have used the word PER CAPITA before annual income, in commercial terms when we say per capita annual income it refers to the GDP, quite obvious and not Per person

Hello friends,

I have a question on jobs in Canada.
Once I get my PR, Can I search for jobs from India?
Or is it a must to be in Canada to even get a interview call?

A tailor would like to see the cloth first before getting your measurements ... in short.
Any employer/HR would like to have in person for the interview/technical part for the work plan & job offered. And when its mentioned in your resume/CV your residence place, how can they give you an interview call ? unless some very high profile / Phd.

Ya, if you have valid work permit, can apply.
else without Visa status no one bothers for the calls.

Some of the forum members are informing that they are asking for additional documents regarding employment from Visa Office. Though CIC issued PER having matched the duties and responsibilities with NOC, Visa Office is also matching the NOC with reference letter. Some forum members suggested that 70% matching of NOC is sufficient for job duties. Now visa office is stating about lead statement & also main duties. Is it mandatory to mention the lead statement in the reference letter?
