Nope not 4 years dear ! byn2013

You must be in Canada when you apply and you must have at least 1095 days. (within 5 year window)

Present rule says that you have to be in Canada for minimum (1095 days)3 years out of (18255 days)5 years. There is no such rule that you have to be in Canada for 3 years without leaving Canada or you will be ineligible.
Palakbhai, pls reply to my PM sent last week..

Sounds good. Thank you...Does Acknowledgement form mean IMM 1017 E ? Do doctors fill and give it to us?

I spoke with one of the biggest immigration Consultant of india, regarding the delay in PPR{please dont ask name}

Following points he has clear to me

1. After {Medical received }it will take 4 to 5 months to recve PPR , same which has happened in 2013 but only difference is that time they have ask passport altogether along with medical and than visa in 4 to 5 months
2. After Medical recvd there are ......1 % chance of getting any rejection ,
3. NDVO will minimum 6 months visa to enter in canada

This time they are slow as there is huge back log of 2013 also.
He told me to just wait till feb end and max by march 15th. :o :o :o :o :o >:( >:( >:( >:(

Congrats on the charge. Expect your PER mail in 3-4 weeks. NO calls will be made to your manager at this stage. Once your file reached your local VO and your ECAS status changes to "We started processing your file on *******", then the background checks will start. This can take anywhere from 2-4 months depending upon VO. Good luck

I couldn't resist myself from posting this though i am in office. Hope this information helps those who are in same situation as i am in.

After so many follow ups i got the reply from my bank and they shared the news that my DD got encashed.

NOC: 2172
App Received date: Nov 5th
DD Encashed: Jan 13th

Now the question i have is what happens between this time and the day they generate the PER ? Do i need to tell my mgr that he can expect the call for anything ? whats the process to generate the PER ?

CANADA BELIEVES IN "RESPECT TO THE IMMIGRANT"

Canada is a nation built by immigrant families from all over the world, so it is very common to receive and integrate new immigrants. Respect for uses and peoples freedom is a fundamental rule of the Canadian society. With the Permanent Resident Visa, the immigrant acquires the same rights than other Canadian citizens (except voting).

In many countries, with skilled labour force of young people, older people have many troubles to find work because of the age. In Canada, there is no age discrimination, and the government has rules to protect older people. Which is important to get a job is to be qualified to do it well, no matter the age, sex or religion, etc.

After three years of residence, the immigrant may apply for the citizenship and the Canadian passport. With this passport you will be able to enter and exit without a visitor visa many countries in the world, including USA and European Union Countries. Canadians are welcomed in most parts of the world and they are known for their impartial, pacific and humanitarian character.

With Canadian passport you will also be allowed to work in other countries as USA, England and Australia, with which Canadian government has especial agreements.

Canada is one of the countries in the world with highest standard of live, higher than USA and many European countries. Per capita annual income is over $38,000 dollars.

Brilliant article & information, thanks PalakPatel Bro. +1 ;)

Dear Patel bro, I read online that the ministerial directives have been revised. Starting from July 2015 to apply for citizenship one needs to have spent 4 years out of last 6 years in Canada. I couldnt find the link on the CIC website right now but I have seen it.
