Dude, I got my PER in august and second line got updated on Sept 8th. Application submitted on May 5th.
However, there was some Enquiry today in my office from NDVO.

Have any applicant from LVO faced the same sort of enquiry from visa office? Means calling to the company or physically visit the employment site.

Same on Bangladesh too....

It required me to buy 80 taka for 1 CAD on May 13. Which is now required 66.5 only.....

It has both impact - adv for the newcomers....and disavd for the peoples whom are sending remittance to their home country....:)

That's true but I inquire banks and other financial agency who deal in this.
If you want forex card/traveler cheque then they are asking for visa and flight ticket. Without that you can't buy. :(

To those who have already gotten PASSPORT REQUEST.

I just sent my passport today through express mail to my local Visa Office.
From what I've gotten in the Passport Request e-mail we should just send receipt of RPRF payment and a sheet or letter with the address of where you want your passport delivered to. Is it that simple?

My passport should be in the VO tomorrow. I'm wondering when I'll be getting it back
Thank you!

Congrats, i'm a bit relieved those of us in NOC 1123 has been worried sick because there has not been any en cashed lately :D

Dear,

Would like to know about settlement funds. We have planned to land initially for 15 days and then after a year permanently.

The question is can we carry some funds in cash ($8K-$10K) and some as fd's (Rs) for at the time of initial landing just to show funds that we will be carrying finally when we will land after a year or we have to carry all the funds and deposit it in the Canadian bank for a year.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Need help from you in understanding this scenario. Like you I wish to return after 15 days and then permanently move after 1 year.
But how do you plan to do same as in 15 days your PR Card won't come .. How will you travel after 1 year.

Thanks
Neha

Hi Seniors,

My app was recieved 12 Nov 2014, I applied under NOC 0711. I managed to check the spread sheet finally, people who applied in the same NOC got charged between 10th and 15th Jan 2015. So I am worried.

The credit card I used in my first application got cancelled by the bank (for safety reasons they said) on the 10th Jan 2015 for issued related to the bank and they issued a new one. Very bad timing :'(

I sent another payament form (using a different card) and it was delivered on 17th Dec 2014, I am not sure they are going to match the new form with my application before rejecting it.

Whay do you suggest? Is it too late to send an email? how much is possibility of matching the second form with the application? Do i still have hope?

Can I call CIC to explain? is that going to help? if yes can you please give me the number
I couldn't find an email adress to contact them on their web site, and it think it will be too late, please advice, I am heartbroken now, I wish i knew credit cards were not a good option :'(

wow..
thts awsome..best of luck.

I got RPRF, Medical, and PCC request on 15th Sep. I completed and submited all on 10th Oct, except my spouses FBI PCC. I had then asked for extension for FBI PCC submission, which NDVO approved.

I submitted my Spouse's FBI PCC on 31st Dec 2014 (received at NDVO office in new delhi). Since then i am waiting for PPR request.

Now, I am seeing a general 3 months waiting period for NDVO applicants to receive their PPR, after they submit all final deliverables.
What I dont know though is whether NDVO worked on my application since oct 10 when I submitted everything, or they must have only acted now
when I submitted the final pending FBI PCC on Dec 31.

Any thoughts - Seniors? or people with similar situation who got through?

guys i went to the VFS to submit my passports but cic has sent new photo specs and the one which came with PPR is not accepted..
