Why they want to check our patience ..... they should complete there work and give there time to there family ..

Same on Bangladesh too....

It required me to buy 80 taka for 1 CAD on May 13. Which is now required 66.5 only.....

It has both impact - adv for the newcomers....and disavd for the peoples whom are sending remittance to their home country....

very well said but it is better to have its rate on the higher side to have long term benefit, if it does not have anything to do with the commodity price in CANADA.

Consultant jus called me that my PPR has arrived and he will forward it to me in a while.... thanks to Allah my parents and all you experts on this forum for advice and prayers... Will update the SS as soon as I get the mail.... good luck to all waiting at different stages of the process.

To those who have already gotten PASSPORT REQUEST.

I just sent my passport today through express mail to my local Visa Office.
From what I've gotten in the Passport Request e-mail we should just send receipt of RPRF payment and a sheet or letter with the address of where you want your passport delivered to. Is it that simple?

My passport should be in the VO tomorrow. I'm wondering when I'll be getting it back

Today one of colleague have received DNA test for his child from Singapore VO. Her child was born after getting his PPR. After that he sent child's doc along his PP...And then SG sent medical and PP request for his child.

Now again they requested this DNA test.

So anybody having DNA testing experience are requested to respond.

Would like to know about settlement funds. We have planned to land initially for 15 days and then after a year permanently.

The question is can we carry some funds in cash ($8K-$10K) and some as fd's (Rs) for at the time of initial landing just to show funds that we will be carrying finally when we will land after a year or we have to carry all the funds and deposit it in the Canadian bank for a year.

Hi, you only need to take some of your funds with you and declare it at the entry point. You are not required to take all your funds, either in cash or in any other convertible form. All the best.
