To those who were issued with VISAs already. I was just wondering how long was the visa validity? Is it one year? or less? Thank you!

Valid for 1year from the Date of the medicals received.

Guys, I need help and advice on this one. Here's my current application timeline:

Application Received at CIO: August 27th 2014
CC Charged: November 21st 2014
PER: December 14th 2014
Medicals Request: December 30th 2014
Medicals Done: January 12th 2015
RPRF E-mail: January 19th 2015

As you can see, my application process was EXTREMELY fast. I even just got a visitor visa for Canada because I have a trip planned to Montreal and Toronto on February 3rd. I'm starting to think I'm going to have to do my landing already.

What I'd like to know is that if I do my landing right away next month, how long will my PR card be valid for? I mean, during the upcoming years until my PR is valid, what is the lenght in period that I have to remain IN Canada. I wasn't expecting having to do my landing so quickly! Please advise! Thank you!

Anybody can answer my question Pleeeeeeeeeeeease. I got a document request from Bucharest VO along with a request to pay the RPRF. i submitted all the required docs and paid the fees three days ago to them. the strange thing is that they did not ask for MR. when is it expected to receive the MR?
the second issue is that i am already in canada doing a master degree. will that facilitate the process of background and security checks??

Don't worry, your medicals can come at any moment now so relax and secondly, your background and security checks depends on Bucharest VO, they will do the background check according to the documents submitted by you, so if you are doing your master's degree in canada then wait for the medicals email and get your medicals there and then and send to your VO asap...

It looks NDVO is not doing well. What is the point in sending medicals if they cannot send PPR upon clearing medicals. It looks they are not ready to issue PR yet. They can do better. It is not just NDVO everywhere else too the PPR speed reduced significantly. CIC we need better transparency. Why do we need to spend on medicals when you are not ready and a year latter remedicals. If you are worried about terrorism scrutinize more but before medicals.
