As my passport is getting expired in July 2015 , I was thinking to renew my passport before MR request from NDVO . I hope new passport will not pose any further complications .. please let me know

PER recd on Dec 17 , NOC 2132 .

I would earnestly suggest that you renew your passport before the next steps. NDVO called me the other day to suggest i should renew my passport, before i get my Visa stamped.

Just make sure you provide copies of both the passports at the time of MR and explain the reissue

Re: Not able access ECAS

Hi,

I got my PER mail on 17th Jan but when I am checking my ECAS then it is saying "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided". The family name/surname in my passport is Not Applicable and I tried with the same in ECAS and tried with my surname and complete name as well but unable to access.

Could anyone suggest the solution?

I had the same issue with my ecas .. But it got active on 13th Jan.. You should call CIC call centre and report this problem to their agent .. They will transfer your call to the technical dept .. And you can tell them this problem .. They will ask you to email all your details with the screenshot of the ECAS page .. And your ECAS will be active in 24 hours hope this helps .

Yes you can undergo Upfront Medical Examination before getting official MR request. Just ask CIC registered physician if they perform upfront Medical, you can go with it.

I have recently renewed my passport and informed NDVO by sending copy of new passport by email and also hard copies along with Medicals. Now I have got an email from NDVO as below.

Is it normal to get these kind of emails or did I missed anything previously

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your application at the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

Please be advised that your file is pending final review and to complete the same we require copy of your new passport. You have provided new passport number but we need other details as well. Also send the copies of recent passports for your spouse and child.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

This only suggests that your mail hasnt been picked up yet. Please email them back with the details/date of the mail that you sent to the physical address and ask if more evidence is needed from your side.

Thank you for the reply... I saw in CIC website the list of Medical centers undertaking medical tests. so, i will directly go to them and get my medicals done

hey please ref to Goku's comments aswell (he surely has more know-how than i do). Call the Medical centre and you should be able to get more details. May be I am wrong, but they did ask me for the MR letter before the Medicals.
