No, but they will probably have a news release, when they complete the processing of 2014 applications.

Hi Diplomatru, Could you please give your comments about below understanding of applications received under FSWP 2014 in last months.

Hello Guys, I sent my FSW application on Nov 27th and is reviewed on Dec 19th but is returned this week with a IRPA reg 10 letter stating that I didn't provide a copy of degree certificate along with ECA . Thats my bad to forgot degree certi. My question here is , can I resubmit now with the IRPA letter , attach the degree certi and send the package to be considered under the same FS 2014 program? Please advise. Thanks

First of all sorry to hear this news of p2015 of unknown NOC.

Secondly, I am surprised that just after 22-days of receipt of application CIO have done the COMPLETENESS CHECK on 19th Decembe 2014.

So, we can conclude that on 16th December, 2014 when CIC updated the status of received applications (PER issued+waiting for review under MI) then at that time the total applications displayed at the page which were for my NOC-0113, total of 405-applications (227.PER+178wait.review), will be for applications received on or around 20th of November,2014. So, after that applications of only 20th Nov 2014 till 31st December 2014, which means 40-days would have been added. My application reached 19th December 2014 at CIO. So, i think that my application would be hopefully already in the CAP.

It seems that my guess in my below post was correct.

On the latest update of CIC on 16th December of applications received, if you note under the PHD stream you will notice the following sentence:-

[Applications received toward the overall cap: 227 of 500 (as of November 19, 2014).]

Can we generalize this sentence and consider it applicable to other occupations as well?

and should we understand that the status of total applications received for all the occupations and for each occupation separately being displayed on the CIC webpage as updated on 16th December, simply reflects those application parcels that are reached at CIO till 19th November?

And only applications from 19th November till today are not reflected in this 16th December update?

Not very accurate. FSW still exists but people should apply through Express Entry. There is no NOC list anymore but the selection criteria remains the same and I think the necessary documents too (not sure about the last one).

Oh thanks for the info

Is there any cic link to see cap updates for fsw2014?
TiA

NO - the program is closed, therefore updating it's status seem unnecessary for CIC

Just a quick question,

What if one gets PR for Canada but does not stay there regularly, means he continues to live in some other country and occasionally visits canada.
For how long would his PR be valid and what happns after say 5-6 years if i am not staying their continously.

Does PR gets expired

Hi All, I have a query regarding the Visa issuance.

So I had sent my passport to the Canadian High Commission in Delhi on 29th Dec for visa issuance. I didnt opt for the VFS mode and instead sent my passport to the CHC.

Its been 2 weeks and I havent received my passport and visa which is sorta worrisome considering the fact that others who sent it thru VFS got it back in about a weeks time. ???

Shall I write a CSE to CHC Delhi to follow up? ::)

First, why applying for a Canadian PR if you don't plan to stay there? The main purpose of these programs is to establish economically in Canada, not use the country as place to visit or to live occasionally.
Regarding your question the answer is yes. If you don't stay in Canada for a fixed period of time PR will be revoked.

You need to maintain residence in Canada for a minimum of 2 years out of 5 (cumulative) to be able to renew your PR. If you don't meet this requirement then you will loose your PR. It doesn't matter whether you live there continuously or not, it just has to be a TOTAL of 2 years.

say i start staying in canada 4 years after my PR, i mean i just spend 1 year outta 5 yrs.. so i cannot extend my PR right

Dear All,

This is a humble request for all NDVO applicants...

Do not send your passports via direct courier send it through VFS only...

If you have hired a consultant, Do not listen to their recommendations or guidance for passport submission to Canadian High Commission, New Delhi...

If your consultant is telling to submit via direct courier (i.e. Bluedart) bypass your consultant and go to VFS directly and submit it there...There are lots of members who had submitted to VFS, Take advice from them...

The major problem is NDVO is sending it back our passports via Registered Post and it will take hell lot of time to reach to our or consultant's address...

If any delay in receiving post by your consultant than your passport will go back to NDVO...

So my suggestion is that submit it via VFS only...If you choose VFS than select pick up option from VFS office...

All consultants in India are cheater and they will misguide you always...

Same thing happen to me...my consultant send my passport back to my home address via DTDC and courier get lost at New Delhi airport, After too much of followups with DTDC hire ups we found parcel missing at Delhi Airport from 3 days and nobody has clue on that consignment...

Finally i received my passport back after 7 days...

What ever happened to me , I don't want that same thing will happen to our members also...

Treat this as advice from me...

I wish I knew this before I listened to my consultant and sent my passport to CHC. Its been 2 weeks and no news on the visa. Im worried :(
