I can see my ECAS status as "In Process". Thank God. Thats the first indication I have since our app was received on Oct 07. Looking forward for PER now.

Hi folks,
My medicals was uploaded to eMedical on 27th Nov. 2014, I mailed police certificates , passport copies and fee payment receipt to London Visa Office (LVO) on 8th December. (arrived on that date).

Till now, not a single word from them... eCAS is even not updated with medical results recieved...
Is this normal?
What should I be expecting then?.
Any actions should I take? or just waiting....

thanks for your help.

Scarabio..

CONGRATS BRO. InshaAllah PER soon for you. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hello All,

Need advice on this situation.. i have completed the medical tests and all i got fortis Bangalore is receipt for the fees paid and a copy of the filled pdf form where the hospital staff attached photos which is sent by CIC in the email.

So i finished all the tests should i complete the the RPRF fees payment or wait for the medicals to reach the CIC and then pay the fees or how is it ?
Any other points that i need take care of be aware of while sending the information back.

List of things i am sending
1. Single Form Request letter to complete MR pay RPRF and PCC ( Sent in the email attachment by Delhi Immigration)
2. MR Forms IMM1017 (me & Spouse) which are signed by DOC's also photo attached and Hospital Fees Payment receipt.
3. RPRF Payment Receipt
4. Original PCC
5. Copy of First and Last Page (which i think are Bio-Pages) Passport (Do i need to send copies of Bio-Pages for the latest Passport or for both old and new passport)

Thanks
Is there any specification for photos required for Medicals?

Congrats Sunny for your MR. Best wishes for the rest of the process.

Can you brief me about your work experience and companies you've worked so far.

Few questions for you ...
1/ Do you have any travel out of India
2/ Are you working in any MNC?
3/ Did you hear anything about verification calls for your current and previous companies?

Thanks.

One explanation of the delay can be given from the OP6c (page 26) for those who are waiting for long:

"12.4. Detecting and deterring fraud
Interviews, site visits, and telephone checks have proven to be the most effective ways to detect and combat fraud. The information gained through interviews where fraud is detected will help officers to identify current trends and patterns, and refine their approach to fraud deterrence on an ongoing basis.

Visa offices will be expected to undertake both targeted and random verifications to detect and deter fraud. The volume and percentage of cases subject to verification should be high enough to act as a meaningful disincentive to those who would engage in fraudulent practices.Pursuant to A40, material misrepresentation is grounds for inadmissibility in its own right with a prescribed two-year period of inadmissibility for those who are, directly or indirectly, involved in such fraudulent practices."

From the above paragraph, it can be assumed that a good percentage of applicants will be taken for random verification. For NDVO, if there is delay of more than 40 days to get MR, that applicants is either pick for random verification or direct verification. (It is my opinion. Other may differ.)

As a cutoff date 20th November, 2014 for 2nd Line Update
Total 2nd Line update: 278
Total MR Received: 176
Waiting for MR: 102
Percentage waiting 37%

So we can say from the above data, for NDVO, 1 out of 3 could be either pick for random verification or for direct verification. This is really very large percentage. Also there are many candidates waiting for 2nd line after PER.

What can be done:
Raise CSE:A few of the waiting candidates can raise CSE and share the response. From that we may understand what is going on.
Rationalize and Accept Delay: Understandable that it is really painful to see someone getting MR though apply after his/her application. But accepts that VO has to operate according to the guideline. They have to perform some verification for some applicants according to the guideline. You may not be lucky this time but in future better luck is waiting. When I found some of the candidates reported PPR and I was waiting, I really felt awful for one day. Then I accept it (what else I can do?). I rationalized that processing speed won't be same for all. As I was planning to land Canada during May-June, so there is enough time to accept delay.
Face the reality boldly: I send all the documents including POF, PCC, and photos. However, during MR request, my VO ask for those again. I was a bit panic and upset about the request. I send all again. For POF, they send me a special form to declare my assets, liabilities, and settlement fund with details about how much I will take during landing and how much after landing. I was perplexed and pissed off about so much detail promising. I decreased my POF from the original one (from CAD35K to CAD30K). As all my documents are genuine and truly represent my affairs, I was sure, they can't find anything even though they suspect something fishy. So don't worry on the verification. Believe me it is extremely difficult from them to find problem if there is no gross anomaly.
VO always give the chance for explanation: Unlike CIO, VO always give the chance for explanation. So if they need some explanation and even they think there is fraudulent data, they ask for explanation from candidate.
Delay does not meant refusal: From past experiences, rejection at VO rates is very low (my gut feeling is that it could be around 1%). So 37% of applicants who are waiting could not be rejected. Let the VO do their work and you chill out. If your information is true, don't worry at all. Treat No News as Good News.

The crux point is that Be Positive. Good news will come. ;D ;D ;D

Your timelines please ??

Guys,

Passports requested on Thu 8th Jan, please update my info in the sheet.

CPC Ottawa is my office, but I've asked to print out the visa locally in Pretoria/South Africa office, which was an option they've given me in that email.

When are they expected to respond & how long the passport will stay in the embassy?

Thanks

Congrats,

Please advise how have you reviewed your ECAS status without the UCI number which to be received in the PER email which you have not received yet.

I am asking because I have sent my application and I would like to follow up its status.

Thanks a lot
