Hello everyone.

Just curious when you guys say back ground check, what do they actually check? Is this before or after PER?

After PER, Visa Office initiates document verification and security checks

Consultants....always safe and worry free.. :o

Now thats debatable... :-X

yes you are right but there is a thing to consider.

if you have hired an authorized consultant,

who is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and a Member in good standing with the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) and also a Member of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC), listed on CIC website under section of authorized consultants,

then my friend you can sleep tight and leave everything to them, yes they charge a very hefty fees....now days between USD$1800 to USD$4000.......where ever u can bargain......but its worth it. your app wont be ever rejected for stupid small mistakes which people do and then when they get rejections for very small things........then they apply again or probably next year if its HOT noc......then their time is wasted, they get tensed, their plans get late........

so again...there can be difference of opinions......some might think its absolute stupidity to spend USD$2500 on consultant....but I don't think that way. believe me these consultants are not that type who will ask u to do everything despite charging heavy fees. I have hired one, I only gave my documents to him, original ones......he made all the copies and everything, always sent my docs via Urgent DHL, use to give me its tracking number that I can track my package online, even my PCC and all other docs later requested by VO were sent using DHL urgent service. my PER was received to him in morning time of Canada, here in Pakistan it was mid night but he called me from Toronto to inform me that my case was through......not like those consultants who take 4 5 days to just forward the email to their clients. and the story is long...but in short he gave a VIP service in return against charging VIP fees.

so it all depends who u hire and did u do research before hiring someone or just believing on what they says. I did through research and even he provided contacts of his previous clients who are in Canada to talk to them about him about his reputation and working levels. so I spoke to them and in the end I was comfortable with him what ever he was offering his services so I hired him and I m happy really happy.
