Hi all,

What does "background check" mean? Is it security/police clearence check, or employment check, or both? For information, I provided 2 police clearence certificates other than my home country, and 7 employment certificates of total 12 years. My consultant told me that CIC does not come back to employers one by one, that's why I require further information from you experienced guys. Thanks in advance.

if job duties are mentioned correctly in original fsw app mentioning duties of both Noc's then it's fine. Else if the entire job duties are realigned in the new app for the same job, then cic may have issues.

My second Line got updated in ECAS, does it mean that my background check of employment is done and what else does it mean?

Application date: 14th July
VO: NDVO
Per Date: 12th Nov

2nd line updated with "started processing on 31st Dec"

Only if you have worked in US for more than 6 mths

Just to correct: if you stayed in the US for 6 months or more.

I've read people waiting to get FBI clearance.

• What is FBI certificate?
• When does one need to get one?
• I've applied under FSW from India, do i need to worry about one?

We are worried about FBI criminal report because it takes more than 12 weeks to receive it.

"background check" mean?
It means both they can call the PCC issuing authority to check the authenticity of your PCC and
they also check the employment status of employers recent years and not all employers for your entire professional life.

Do we send the FBI Finger print report with out opening the envelope it was send in, OR we can open the envelope and read the report and then mail it to the VO.

Hi All It is very difficult for some one to open SS and check your timeline:
Please understand the problem that due to restriction some one can't open SS and to reduce questions like, what is you app date, what is PER date, I request all to update your time line under your Profile on left.
Below s the procedure :

I have one request, if possible ... **** Please update important & required information timeline under you Name in Profile, so that it can be easy for every one to understand and see details rather then to go and check in SS.

It is very Easy, Below are steps:

Just go to right top of Screen and you will find " PROFILE " tab, click over it.

Then - On the left middle of screen you will get 3 options : Under " Modify Profile " - please choose second option " Forum Profile Information " and click over it.

Then please enter your details , whatever applicable , like :

Location:
Category........:
Visa Office......:
NOC Code......:
App. Filed.......:
Doc's Request.:
Nomination.....:

And it will show under your name .... Please help each other to make it easy to check current timeline of individual.

what if CIC would not be able to communicate with PCC issuing authority in English? or the employer?
one of my PCC issued in local language of the issuing country, I provided attested translation in my application folder.

NEED EXPERTS ADVICE

I received PER on 30th Dec,I have sent the USA PCC along with my documents.

One year tenure of my USA PCC gona end on 5th Feburary.

Will that be an issue ?? Do i need to reapply for USA PCC?

If your current stay is not in USA, then your pevious USA PCC will be valid.
But if you are staying in USA now and you do not get PPR request till March 2015, your VO can ask for fresh PCC

CIC does not do it, local VO does it thru their authorized agents who r citizen of that country and well versed with the language and procedure of that country

We are in same boat...29days after DD was encashed and yet no PER...27th August applicant...but lets keep faith
