Still no reply from CIC , is it going to be late ?

addition of a family member will get ur app delay by avg 2 to 3 months to complete the process.

Hi guys,

I just realized this forum with very useful information and links.
I sent my application (NOC 2263) on October 2nd Thursday and I believe it was recieved by CIC on October 6th Monday. My payment (CC) was completed on December 15th as per my bank details. I have read about the first e-mails usually recieved 1 week after the payment. For my case, I know that it happened during Christmas. So when I should expect the first e-mail of confirmation?

Of course brother you should do what she says. We are not better than her. And she explained you everything step by step. So sweet of her. And your UCI hasn't been created yet. I don't understand what is your problem here when you are so much lucky to have a conversation of this much with the agent.

Just a follow up on this: I decided to call the Call Center in French just to confirm this / have a different take.

The lady was very nice as well, she went to talk to her supervisor to confirm this and she said the same thing: we should put that it's our first application with the CIC.

My wife had applied Canada student visa few years back through vfs and the application was forwarded to NDVO. But unfortunately her visa was refused.
Her passport had not refusal stamp but she received a refusal letter.
She don't remember if there was UCI number.
is there any way to know that UCI number?

Guys, i've just end the call with the CIC call center , I was asking about my UCI number ( my application was received on the 5th of December ) I know it's too early to know the UCI , but I wanted it because yesterday when I was trying to make an online profile to apply in the new Express Entry System there was a question about if I applied to the CIC and Canada before or not? and when I choose Yes, they ask about my UCI, the problem is that I still don't know my UCI! and if I left it blank, it shows " In progress " not " Completed " , and it also won't take N/A as an answer ..

so, I called them few minutes ago, the agent who answered me was Elisabeth , she told me that I need to wait at least 12 weeks before knowing my UCI , before that she won't have it ( she was very polite and told me if she had the UCI she would have give it to me ) .. so I told her about my problem and that I would like to apply for the Express entry program.. She told me that I should choose NO as an answer on my profile for the question which I mentioned above.. I told her how is that possible ? she told me that as long as my application is under processing, I'm not considered " Applied for the CIC before " , she told me that they ask this question only to know applicants who have been refused and what are the reason of refusal.

tell me experts, should I do as she told me and choose NO as an answer ? or should I try to call again may be someone will give me my UCI?

according to her.......u must wait till March 5, 2015 to get to know about your uci, as she already told u so much in detail then why are u getting to much restless? immigration is game of waiting with patience.....just relax and start ur waiting game. don't get tensed and restless. be hopeful, ur app will be processed according to the speed of cio and ur vo.......knowing ur uci earlier or getting it earlier wont speed up anything or wont cause any miracles. calm down buddy and good luck.

is ur wife a principal applicant? if yes then it wont matter cos "few years" back cio don't use to issue uci numbers. also it wont gona do any harm to ur app. but don't forget to mention it in ur app, hiding this thing can cause a rejection.

if she is dependent then relax, it wont affect ur app.

Dear friends,

I just had a quick call to CIC regarding my application and I was able to receive my UCI number from the agent.

The problem is when I try to check my application status it says "We are unable to identify you using provided information"

Has any one experienced the same problem?

Application date Sep 2 NOC 2171

1. Your DD or CC need to be encashed/charged to get ECAS update.
2. If encashed/charged, sometime it get updated after PER.
3. If you input wrong data, the message could be given.

Guys, just want to share, you can watch the Canadian film "Dr. Cabbie", it's about a doctor from India who immigrated to Canada and became a taxi driver. It is a strong commentary on the current beaurocracy in the system by which highly skilled immigrants are overlooked.

No she is dependant. But I forgot to mention the refusal in background declaration form in question 6(d).
She had applied on 2011 for Canada student visa.
Will she be having UCI number at that time?

yes its highly possible that she might have issued a UCI.....anyways as she is dependent, this wont gona cause any harm to ur app. u can have advice from some one else too in this regard.

She can use the old UCI its linked with your passport numbers in the CIC database

I got PER on October 28th and still now no more updates.
I have seen many of the October last PER people have got second line update and somebody got MR also from NDVO .
do I have to worry..??
