I too have only sent the physical copy along with other Documents ( Medical receipt , passport Bio pages) but have not filled in any details. Just mentioned the UCI no. on top of the receipt. Is it ok or do I send another copy after filling the details? Courier was received at NDVO on 22nd dec. but no third line update so far . Little worried ?

Hi,

I guess it is better if you send another copy of the RPRF receipt with all your details filled. Also place a letter stating why exactly you are sending another copy.
This is just my gut feeling. I am sure one of the seniors would be able to clarify your question.

These are target for minimum # of APPS FINALIZED i.e. either rejected or visa issued. It has nothing to do with # of visas issued.

What u r referring was previous mechanism for managing diversification (something similar to US). Reportedly, this system has been dropped since 2008.

Anyways, doesn't matter now, as quota (if any) wud be renewed in 2 days.

Even my US Business visa was rejected 2 time, But i haven`t mentioned the Background Form, Can i send the apology letter to Local VO officer, once i receive the PER. Will the they check all criminality background at the time of issuing PER or after they transferred the file to local visa office. Can anyone please help me on this.

DEAR FRNDS,,,SORRY FOR BEING AWAY...BUT I HAVE REPLIED ALL QUESTIONS PENDING IN MY MAIL BOX...STILL U GUYS CAN QUERY...


I GAVE MY PP TO VISA CENTER ON 29 DEC, 14. IT WAS LOVELY EXPERIENCE. nO PROB AT ALL AND IT TOOK 20 MINS TO DO ALL THE THINGS.
I REACHED VISA CENTER AT 11 AM YESTERDAY. 5 OR 6 PEOPLE WERE IN QUE IN FRONT OF ME. IT TOOK 5 MINS TO ENTER. A SECURITY GUY ASKED THE REASON OF MY VISIT AND CHECKED ME IF I AM CARRYING MY AK47 WITH ME OR NOT.....LOL.... I WENT IN WITH A CODE ON PAPER AS MY SERIAL NUMBER TO GO ON A COUNTER. IN NEXT 10 MINS I GOT MY NUBER ON SCREEN AND I WENT TO COUNTER NUMBER 3. A GIRL WAS SITTING THERE , WITH A SMILE SHE ASKED FOR PASSPORT AND LETTER AND PHOTOS. CHECKED EVERYTHING AND ASKED ME PHOTO COPY OF MY PASSPORT FRONT PAGE. I SAID NOTHING LIKE THAT WAS ASKED IN EMAIL I RECEIVED. BUT NO WORRIES..SHE ASKED ME TO GO IN A SMALL CABIN NEXT TO HER WHERE A GU DID IT AND CHARGED ME 3 RUPEES/PAGE. THEN SHE GAVE ME A FORM TO FILL. IT WAS A FORM TO FILL MY DETAILS AND THE ADDRESS WHERE I WANT MY PASSPORT. SO I GAVE THE ADDRESS WHERE I AM LIVING RIGHT NOW. SO NO ISSUES YOU CAN GIVE ANY ADDRESS. NOTHING IS RELATED WITH PASSPORT. SHE CHARGED ME 1070 INR/PASSPORT FOR HANDELLING AND DELIVERING TO MY GIVEN ADDRESS. i WAS SHOCKED A LITTLE AS THE PRICE WAS 750 INR APPROX FOR THIS BUT SHE TOLD ME REST OF THE MONEY FOR DELEVERING IT VIA BLUE DART. I ASKED HER IF I CAN COLLECT IT FROM HERE BUT SHE SAID, NO , WE WILL DELIVER AT YOUR DOOR STEP. ITS OK...I HAVE NO PROB WITH IT. THEN SHE GAVE A RECEIPT WITH TRACKING ID SO THAT I CAN TRACK STATUS OF MY PROCESS AND PASSPORT.

ALL OVER NICE EXPERIENCE.

You can pay online or pay through DD. DD can be paid in Canadian dollars or Indian Rupees. The DD should be made for the exact amount and in favour of "Canadian High Commission" or "Receiver General for Canada" payable at New Delhi. At the end, you will get payment receipts in PDF format.

Hello Friends,

My current passport has my surname as blank and my given name contains my full name( first name + surname). In my application forms, I have entered my surname as not applicable so that it matches with my passport.

Now my passport is due for renewal and I would like to correct my first name and surname issue. Now if I do that, will it be a problem since my application forms have surname as blank?

Am confused, if I should correct it now or get the new passport without surname. Changing my name now might invite delay in my processing time right?

Could you please guide me?

- In application forms, as per guideline you should have mentioned your name as surname only as that is mandatory and you can leave first name as blank. Thats what I did and it worked for me, m waiting for PPR. Heres guideline link - “http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/glossary.asp” which states –“If you do not have a surname on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field and leave the given name field blank.”

- You can try to change name and then inform your VO or CIC office based on status of your application. I tried to change it for myself too last time I renewed passport, but passport office was asking for so many documents and told me that it will take too much which I didnt have, so kept it same
