CIC will accept SSC certificate as date of birth proof in case your SSC certificate has parent or parents name and you have placed a copy at social status documents as per check list.

This Birth Certificate is really a hot issue.
One applicant got his file back as no Birth Certificate was attached, however he submitted his SSC certificate.
Now one thing is also there, in some SSC certificate father name is not mentioned like 10th Certificate issued from maharashtra .
But if you see your SSC certificate issued by andhra pradesh it have both DOB & FATHER NAME S/O in clear

So after waiting agonizingly for the past 4 months, I finally receive this email today -->

"Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office.

Your application has now been placed into processing.

X This correspondence also acknowledges receipt of your payment dated 25 November 2014 in the amount of $1,100.00 Canadian dollars. Your Payment Receipt No. is __. Please keep a copy of this letter for your records and quote this number on all correspondence relating to application fees or refunds.

My understanding of it is that the Payment Charged as well as PER have been carried out. But since this is the very first communication that I have received, would like to know for sure. Let me know where do I stand?

Cheers and GOD Bless Us Everyone!

TO be on the safer side, following is what one should do if (s)he does not have a BC:

1. Submit photocopy of Xth/SSC, provided one of the parents name is mentioned

AND

2. submit a signed affidavit (on a stamp paper)- signed either by parents or self

Application Received by CIC 22nd May, 2014
Application fees Charged by CIC 8th Sep, 2014
Received PER from CIC 11th Sep, 2014
Application Started Processing 26th Sep, 2014
Received MR from London Office 30th Sep, 2014
Received Request for RPRF & Additional Docs 30th Sep, 2014

As my wife is pregnant so they give me 45 days to submit Additional docs, MR and RPRF after delivery of baby. Now I have to send all docs before mid Feb 2015.

Please suggest how much chances I have to get PR ?

Very Simple answer.... 100% if there is no issue in Medicals.. And for curable disease they give sometime and ask to go for medicals again.. So rest assured.. You will celebrate your baby's first B'day in Canada :-* :-*

Congrats Shakti, all the best!

A very strange thing happened guys. My wife is the principal applicant under NOC 3142. Currently on PGWP in Canada working as a part time Physiotherapy Assistant. Our file was received at CIO on 26 November, 2014. Although we did include her part time letter of employment in the application package, we didn't claim points for ARRANGED EMPLOYMENT. The file was returned to us on 29 December 2014.

Surprisingly, the reason for file to be returned has been highlighted as You must submit an original letter from your employer indicating that you will be employed on a permanent basis upon receiving PR status. The arranged employment column was not ticked in the doc checklist and neither did we mention in the cover letter that we were claiming points under the same.

It is surprising to see that the CIO officers don't even go through the file in detail and blatantly return the application without any merit. Nevertheless, I hope to dispatch the file again with a cover letter and removing the part time employment contract so they receive before 31st December. But a bitter experience indeed.

The only positive thing I still feel is the file was sent back within 32 days. ::)

Hi friends,

1. I have my medical received in Mid-NOV 2014 and PCC was sent at the 3rd week of NOV 2014, seems there is no further update since then. Is it normal ? What process will local VOC take after MR and PCC ?

2. And from the spreadsheet, I see that the MR request and RPRF request are mostly came on the same day, for my case, I still have not received the RPRF request, is that abnormal ?

Thank you so much !! :) :)

Congratulation brother. Yes it is PER email which said that your DD has been encashed on 25th November.

Friends,

Any July applicant received MR from NDVO ?

What is the latest MR date from NDVO?

Dear Friends,

Time to seek your advice again. I'm a 15th July NDVO, 1112 applicant, PER on 12th November and currently waiting for MR. Earlier in the year, I had also applied for a full time MBA program in Canada. Fortunately, I have received a offer of admission from one of the renowned b-schools in Canada with a decent scholarship. However, the program starts in March and I'm not sure whether my PR application will complete processing by then or not. I do not have any other visa for Canada.

My questions are:

1. Should I write to NDVO informing them of this and requesting them to expedite processing of my application so I can attend the program?
OR
2. Should I file a parallel application for a study permit?

Have any of you been in a similar situation? Please let me know your thoughts on how should I ensure that I am able to join the program in March, 2015.

Many thanks in advance for your responses

That's NOT true at all...It's ok if you do not have that generic rejection paper ..Let's not even get to the level of knowledge these crappy consultants have....

Yes, the Canadian VO will have enough information about your USA Visa Rejection when they run a criminality check on you, one process being looking you up on the US Immigration database, which the US has shared with Canada. During this time, all your US visa rejections will definitely crop up...which is OK...if you've already declared from your end on the form during initial submission or later by sending them an apology letter and revised forms visa courier. If you have NOT declared it and then they find out, they MAY consider it misrepresentation and ban you for a few years from entering Canada by any means. A lot is at stake by not declaring...and well, they can find this out anytime..now...after you get a PR or even 20 years after you get Canadian Citizenship, and will then deport you....why live in so much uncertainty?? Rather just proactively declare it, it won't affect you application negatively, that's for sure.

Just my 2 cents...

So , Do suggest sending the correction now before getting the PER to the CIO or rather to the V.O. after getting PER ?
I'm a 22-October applicant.
Thanks!
